RINGNECK COUNTED IN:
The Great Aussie Bird Count has crowned the Australian Ringneck the most commonly sighted bird at the Olive Pink Botanic Garden.
The garden is renowned throughout the international birding world as a "must see" destination in Central Australia due to the ease of access and the reliability of seeing the variety of birds that abound.
The green and yellow parrot was sighted 80 times at the Garden by bird count participants.
There were also numerous recordings of the White-plumed Honeyeater, with 58 sightings and the Yellow-throated Miner with 42.
