Our release of hedfog’s wonderful Mind Making EP came after long-admiring the creative output of Peter Greasley. His bands Dream Circle, Atomic Beat Squad, and Tainted Violets signposted the emergence of leftfield synth-based pop in late-‘80s and ‘90s Brisbane from the city’s punk / post-punk roots.
In fact the TV tape was the first locally-produced release we ever bought (and still have) at one of their club gigs back in ’89; opening our eyes & ears to the local electronic underground, along with Boxcar & others.
