In a world full of war, the only part of us that truly lives on is our children.
My heart is broken for all the families torn apart and living the hell our mainstream media will never show.
I pray for those who have lost everything, and I hold onto hope that humanity will prevail.
But more than anything, I think of the children - the ones who inherit the pieces of the world we leave behind. They deserve more than rubble and grief.
They deserve mornings without fear, nights without sirens, and futures shaped by possibility, not trauma.
If we don’t fight for peace now, what future will they have to grow into? What stories will they tell about us, the adults who were meant to protect them?
People can help by refusing to look away. By choosing humanity over division. By raising children who value peace, not power.
Change doesn’t start with governments - it starts with us!
“In war, a mother becomes the only refuge.” A work by Brazilian artist Ana Cunha depicting a mother protecting her child inside a shelter amid the chaos of war, reflecting the strength of motherhood in providing safety and love in the midst of destruction, using earthy tones and simple symbols.
