Let me say the quiet part out loud.
There's a weird thing happening in the website industry. Everyone acts like pricing is classified information. And in some cases, quotes hide behind discovery calls.
Look, they've got their place. Building a big custom platform or an e-commerce site with 500 products? Yeah, someone needs to understand your setup before quoting. Fair enough.
But 45 minutes of leading questions to build a basic 5-page website? That's not discovery. That's pricing recon designed to work out what you're willing to pay before anyone mentions a number.
You're not booking a website bulid. You're being sized up. Then quoted a suspiciously specific figure that just happens to match whatever budget you accidentally revealed on the call.
You leave more confused than you started, quietly assuming a real website must cost $10k.
Spoiler: it doesn't have to.
Big businesses with big goals? Sure, big websites make sense. But if you're a solo trader, a tradie, a coach, a local business? A $10k website isn't what you need. You need one that works, converts, looks legit and doesn't take a masters degree to update.
That's why I started CCK Digital. Real websites for real small businesses. No pricing mystery. No sales calls in disguise. No pretending.
If you've been putting off sorting yours because you've been quoted numbers that made you close the tab, hi. That's exactly why I do this.
