" (A modern folklore by breatheablueocean). This is a story for comfort where words often fail. This morning before dawn, I imagined that the ocean keeps an oath to children lost beneath the waves. Before the world can exhale its grief or even gather its breath, the whales respond to a silence no human ear can hear. From the deep, they rise, gently, and shape a circle around the body and glowing soul of a child. They come so that no child is left unnoticed. The whales sing, a song that gathers and holds the soul in a presence that calms it, reassures it, that the child is seen, the child is held, the child is not alone. ...and when fear grows quiet and peace takes its place, the circle drifts toward that line where sea meets sky. Beyond that horizon, I want to imagine is an untouched shore of immense beauty and light, where every child is welcomed, every smile and joy restored. Whether such a place exists,
