I’m looking at bringing dress hire to ALLAINÉ.

Because we all love a new outfit for an event, but spending hundreds on a dress you might wear once? Not so much.

The plan is to build a collection of dresses, sets + occasion pieces that you can try on locally and hire, with private after-hours appointments available.

But before I start sourcing, I want to know what you actually want.

Built in 1876, this beautiful Keppel Street building has been part of Bathurst’s story for almost 150 years. From its beginnings as a local butcher shop to the many businesses that have called it home over the decades, it’s seen generations of people walk through its doors.

Now, it gets to begin another chapter.

Renovating a building with this much history is incredibly exciting. Every layer we uncover and every detail we restore is a reminder that we’re not just creating a boutique, we’re breathing new life into a piece of Bathurst’s history.

I knew this was the one the moment I saw it.

The character, the high ceilings, the natural light and the courtyard… I couldn’t stop thinking about what this space could become.

Soon, 50 Keppel Street will be home to ALLAINÉ.

More than a boutique, it’ll also be home to a dedicated studio for workshops, events and creative experiences for both kids and adults.
