I have been recording and mixing bands for many years and worked in several studios around Sydney NSW, as well as currently having my own mix facility based in Sydney where I have been mixing recent projects. I love recording and mixing heavy loud bands, especially punk, heavy rock, metal and indie bands. Songs tha
t have loud guitars and massive bass, pounding drums and passionate vocals, and bands that need production to make these styles of music sound great on recordings. I have been collecting my own arsenal of recording equipment over the years including a 2 inch 24 track Ampex tape machine, "Royer, Neumann, Beyer, Shure, AKG and Sennheiser" microphones, Neve preamps, high end valve preamps, analogue mixing desks and outboard gear, high end studio monitors and the latest in computer recording and editing. More importantly, I have a real sense of what loud bands want from a studio session, I am able to communicate with bands that make the process very open and easy especially for bands that may not have a lot of experience with tracking in a professional studio, or have had previous experiences that did not give great results. I play bass in 2 bands myself, and know that when you record it really helps to be in the studio with someone who has an understanding of the bands sound and production style. In the last 12 months I have been busy on some large projects, and now having completed them I am actively seeking more Australian bands to record in some of the studios I am working in.
