Blasting off into the New Year Dino Style 🚀

A few weeks ago we wrapped up 2025 with our Cosmic Christmas Party and partied like it was the Cretaceous Period at the Queensland Museum! It was a time of yummy food, great chats and celebration with friends and fossils alike 🎉

We are so thankful for all the wonderful crew members who make our spacecraft soar and it was a joy to celebrate and reflect all that we have accomplished in the past year 💫

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Wishing you and your loved ones the Happiest Holiday season ⭐🎄🎉

As we near the finish line of another lap around the sun we are so thankful for all the fantastic people and projects we have crossed paths with.

2026 is on the horizon and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Cosmic Dino! Here is to another year of pushing the boundaries, creating high quality animation, and having fun while doing it!

Last month we had our first annual Banana Bread Month 🍌🍞

16 talented artists-turned-bakers took to the oven and baked us a range of delightful banana breads and cookies! Every Tuesday and Friday someone would bring in their aPEELing goodies to be enjoyed by all! Though there was a winner declared at the end it is safe to say that we were all winners here at Comic Dino with our bellies full of baking.

A few weeks ago, and made their way to Los Angeles — a trip filled with inspiring studio visits, meaningful conversations, and the kind of creative energy that only LA can deliver. ✨

From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting incredible new collaborators, the week was a reminder of how powerful community and shared passion can be. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who welcomed us, opened their doors, and took the time to connect. We returned home with new friendships, strengthened relationships, and plenty of momentum for what’s ahead. (Plus, we’ll admit… a few too many In-N-Out stops. 🍔)

Here’s to more creativity, more collaboration, and more opportunities to learn from the amazing people in our industry. 🚀🎬

🇦🇺☀️ Aussie summer vibes, activated!

Last Friday we brought a little slice of Straya to the studio with our very own AUSSIE BBQ — and yes, it was everything you’d imagine. Snags sizzling on the grill, ice-cold ###X Gold in hand, and the most wholesome (and chaotic) fairy bread workshop you’ve ever seen. 🍞✨

It was the perfect way to introduce our international crew to the flavours, fun, and very important cultural traditions of life down under.

Good food, good laughs, good company. That’s the true Aussie way. 💛🔥

Meet Tam (the platypus), Maali (the galah), and Wes (the echidna) as they explore the wonderful world of emotions and personalities across 18 bite-sized animated episodes, made especially for little ones.Produced by our friends at and , Cosmic Dino helped craft this delightful mini-series designed to help little ones navigate emotional awareness, friendship, and self-discovery. Each story dives into big feelings in small, meaningful ways — from bee breathing and planting wattle seeds to learning it’s okay to say “I haven’t learnt that...YET.” 🌸✨

🎃Happy Halloween from the Cosmic Crew!👻

Last Friday we gathered for an epic spooktacular showcase, featuring the very first Cosmic Costume Parade! Three terrifyingly talented winners took home the top prizes — including Aunt Glady’s from Weapons, our very own Kermit the Frog (complete with a live rendition of Rainbow Connection 🐸🎶), and the most committed monk in history, who literally shaved their head for the role. Dedication level! 🙏💀The frightful fun was fuelled by the delicious Korean goodness of Kor-Dak West End, keeping our ghouls and goblins well-fed through the night.

🎅 🎄 🎁 ✨ Huge congratulations to our friends at .official , .a.r.k.13tm and Broadvision on the premiere of Mission Santa: Yoyo to the Rescue this past weekend in Germany! What an incredible milestone — and such a fun, heartwarming film.

🚀 was proud to contribute to this production, providing services from look development and asset creation to storyboarding and editing — with our very own directing alongside Damjan Mitrevski.

We’re thrilled about the film’s release in Germany and can’t wait for the rest of the world to meet Yoyo — the underdog elf with boundless holiday spirit who just might become the North Pole’s only hope for saving Christmas.

From big ideas to little moments, he’s the reason Cosmic runs like, well… a finely tuned spaceship. 🪐

Always ready with a smile (and probably a spreadsheet), Stephen reminds us that teamwork isn’t just about tasks — it’s about people. 💫

September was a huge month for our crew, with Cosmic Dino front and centre at two major industry events 🎤✨

🚀 .com.au, shared his presentation about Cosmic's astronomic growth at the world famous ACMI in Melbourne. A behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to grow a studio while delivering on one of Australia’s biggest animation films.

Meanwhile, joined the panel at Anim'Action Film Festival here in Brisbane, hosted .film.school to talk tackling Animation & Gaming: The Future of the Industry.

These moments aren’t just speeches — they’re proof that we’re not on the sidelines. We’re in the room. We’re connecting, learning, and shaping the industry.
