Meet Bridget, our brilliant Assistant Production Coordinator at . She’s the one making sure the creative gears keep turning — supporting the asset team as they build environments and props, managing schedules, and keeping deliveries right on track. 🚀

Working closely with Production and Directors, Bridget helps create the space for our artists to do what they do best: craft the worlds, details, and stories that leap off the screen.

Basically, if the studio were a spaceship, Bridget’s at mission control, helping guide the mission forward. 🛰️💫.

From a storm-swept jungle to a food truck with more heart than horsepower, Laura and her crew aren’t just serving up meals — they’re serving up courage, community, and a whole lot of laughs.

Directed by (making history as the first woman to direct an animated feature in Australia 💫) and co-directed by , this award-winning adventure is already making waves on the global stage 🌍🎬. Produced by our friends at and released worldwide in 2024 🌍✨. We’re also excited to share some of the incredible work produced by our concept art and storyboard teams — from early sketches to full visual storytelling.

Back for round two… and this time, it’s personal 🦸‍♀️💥

Say hello to COMBAT WOMBAT: BACK 2 BACK — Cosmic Dino’s second feature film and the epic return of Maggie Diggins, a.k.a. Combat Wombat. Only this time, Sanctuary City doesn’t need saving from crime, it needs help with drains, paperwork, and (you guessed it) a looming evil genius threatening to trap the city inside a “perfect” metaverse simulation. No pressure, right?

Directed by with co-director , and starring an incredible cast including Deborah Mailman, Ed Oxenbould, David Wenham, and Elizabeth Cullen. This wild ride takes our dynamic duo, Maggie and Sweetie, on what might just be their last hurrah.

“The greatest journey is found within.”

Scarygirl is a four-time AACTA-nominated, Aussie-made, 3D animated fantasy-adventure, and our very first feature at Cosmic Dino! Released in 2023 and directed by Ricard Cussó with co-director Tania Vincent, it brings Nathan Jurevicius’s beloved graphic novel to life, with all animation crafted right here in our studio. The film was proudly produced by Like A Photon Creative and Highly Spirited Pictures, with whom it was a true pleasure to collaborate on this adventure.

Meet Arkie: half-girl, half-octopus, and all heart. When darkness threatens her world, she journeys to the City of Light to rescue her dad, face a mad scientist, and save her home. It’s spooky, it’s sweet, and it’s fiercely imaginative.

Here’s a sneak peek into the artistry and imagination of our team as they brought the Arkie’s story to life. We couldn’t be prouder of our team and the journey of bringing Scarygirl to audiences worldwide! 🐙

We have lift-off ! 🚀 We’re thrilled to share a peek inside our brand-new creative “Space Station.” Spanning 1,500 square meters, our new production hub features a purpose-built 40-seat cinema, state-of-the-art edit suites designed for storytelling, and a bright, open-plan studio that brings our directors, artists, and producers together under one roof. We can’t wait to share the exciting projects brewing in our new creative space.

Annecy 2025: We had an absolute blast at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival! With views as cinematic as the films, it was an inspiring week of reconnecting with old friends, meeting brilliant new collaborators, and soaking up all the animation magic this incredible festival has to offer. GUESS WHO’S BACK! Cosmic Dino is very proud to have provided full animation services for ‘Combat Wombat: Back 2 Back’, flying into cinemas across Australia this Thurs 29th February!

A big congratulations to Like A Photon Creative for the release of this crime-fighting, butt-kicking epic, with special thanks to Ricard Cussó and Tania Vincent for leading the charge on this grand adventure full of laughs, technological hijinks and deeply emotional themes! We’re so proud of the entire Cosmic team for pushing the visuals, storytelling and animation to infinity and beyond.
