Our little bloke is 6 today! Hard to believe how quick he’s growing up. If you know Jack, you know anything with wheels has his name all over it, so the birthday pressie was a no brainer.

The grin on his face says it all, one stoked kid on his new big boy bike. We’re so bloody proud of him and love how he just takes everything in his stride.

How fast time flies! It feels like only yesterday you were our little girl, and today we’re celebrating your 12th birthday.

A huge happy birthday to you Jayda, we honestly can’t believe how quickly you’ve grown up. You’ve become such a mature, kind and thoughtful young lady and we couldn’t be prouder. 💛

One thing Sian has always wanted to try was making hats out of palm leaves and turns out she’s a natural.

A quick dive into a few YouTube videos and she was off, weaving away like she’s been doing it for years.

The kids scored their own custom beach hats and were absolutely wrapped with them. Pretty awesome seeing a random little goal turn into a new camping trick up our sleeve. Next beach stop we’ll be ready!

Chilli Beach perfection, We couldn’t have picked a better spot, ocean at our doorstep, palm trees overhead, coconuts in the sand, and endless blue as far as you can see.

Days were spent cruising the beach, soaking up that salty air, and sharing it all with good company. This is the kind of place that makes you forget what day it is… and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Gravel pits get a bad rap but honestly, we’ve had some of our best camps in the most unexpected spots.

Sure, they’re not everyone’s cup of tea but give us a quiet gravel pit with no crowds, a bit of firewood around, no one telling us how loud the music can be, and best of all, they’re free.

Sometimes it’s the simple spots that turn out to be the best. Just you, the open sky, and not another soul for miles. Can’t beat it.

Anyone else a fan of these rough and ready camps? Or are we mad? 😂

🌴 New Episode 🌴

Our Cape York journey has begun and from here on in van life is our home until we land on our next property.

We kick things off at Seadabay in Cow Bay, nestled deep in the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed icon and the oldest tropical rainforest on the planet, believed to be over 135 million years old.

Between indulging at the Daintree Ice Cream Company, soaking in epic lookout views and wandering the sands of Cow Bay Beach, we also take a closer look at the notorious Bloomfield Track. Known for testing caravans to their limits, it was hit hard by Cyclone Jasper in 2023 and we are keen to see how it is holding up. But let’s just say the track has a few surprises waiting for us.

Still can’t get over how good Albany Island_Cape York was. Crystal clear water, lush jungle, epic views and one of the most chilled days we’ve had in a while.

We cruised around on a buggy tour, kicked back with cold drinks and fresh fish, and soaked up the island vibes.

Big thanks to the crew for making it such a top day. Definitely one to remember!
