A call out to our Māori and Pasifika whanau .....

This Sunday 12th May the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium will be airing
an immersive planetarium film " The Navigators" that tells the story of Māori, Pasifika and European Navigation towards Aotearoa New Zealand through the eyes of a budding navigator, Moko.

With Moko, we stand alongside the navigators, explore their traditions, uncover their science, and wrap it all up in the space knowledge we have today.

Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.

When you turn to the experts and scholars about Te tiriti O Waitangi - "New Zealand's foundational document" they will tell you that the treaty is "complicated and complex" and of course they would , they have to lol - because how do justistify a 180 year old continuing legal breach. How do you explain you haven't upheld legal obligations and agreements-that your whole legal system was birthed from? A legal system and governance system that is designed to work by law abiding adherence, agreement and partnership obligation ?

Sorry folks there's a gaslighter in the room lol and it aint us- Im surely not gonna sit here for another 180 years listening to " its complicated and complex" - quite simple really .....you tell me a single person you know if they haven't had a gun to their head? - that will sign away their whole life and existence for some lady... a complete stranger sitting over in England ? and willing say oh ...yes mrs qween here have it all - and in return i will have err um ? not a damn thing ? lol thats crazy ...and even crazier to think that anyone today believes that s**t is nuts lol - and for arguments sake no matter which angle you come from to justify any parts of the treaty and Māori ceding sovereignty ... You must acknowledge that the crown and its initial (representatives) even people today who still argue our willingness to cede sovereignty, is absolutely revealing of the type of people we were , and still are dealing with !

The siging of Te tiriti o waitangi and this longstanding battle has also documented the narrcisitc traits of behavior , abuse of power , coercion , manipulation, intimidation, Prevarication and mendacity ! that we have endured. And through all of that still no land back! Aue ! Still arguing to keep the language , preserve our taonga and now they wanna throw a referendum on top of that ..relentless !

Not a victim though, not stupid , not an activist either ...and defs NOT an ENABLER lol So this Māori girl wants no parts of Māori ceding sovereignty korero! tell your 180 year old lie elsewhere please and comeback with something that makes sense lol nga mihi and have a great day x

What a privilege to live on the whenua of one of the oldest continuing cultures in the world - 60,000 years of rich history wrapped up in the beautiful abyss of Dream time - what an absolute flex 💪 to our First Nations (moemoea )whanau as Maori I feel we totally understand what today means and what it has meant for the past 60,000 to just survive …a fb post cannot even fathom .

And to our other Aussies who have by force 👀🤦🏽‍♀️are hosting over 600,000 New Zealanders…. thanks lol thanks for the ibis bin chickens , Steve Irwin , one bunged up trolley wheel 😂 for the great white out the gate aussie banter , for the intense rugby and rugby league standoffs , the multiple bogan and kiwi road rage incidents and lastly that infamous 1981 Trevor Chappell under arm cricket bowl 😂 straya 🇦🇺

This beautiful soul completed her mahi here on earth Peho Howden , and she did a awesome job at that ! her body can now rest free of her physical limitations - she spoke bravely of Cancer and took it head on - owning her right to meet cancer how she wanted too - it was a journey that she shared openly and i am so privileged she took the time to wananga me through her experience , she was really a beautiful person - to who ever is battling this disease and to the whanau who support our loved ones through these difficult confronting times - we love you so very much - and my heartfelt prayer is that your medical team , your doctors , your healers , your prayers , your spirit guides , your green juices even lol- rise up to meet you and carry you through..- kia kaha ! and blessings on your journey x

I've always had a hard time meditating lol my mind and mouth have trouble switching tf off haha but the current world political climate is so burdensome to be honest - my heart and my mind feels heavy from the ugly inhumane treatment of tangata .

War sucks - seeing human suffering sucks! then on top of all that having to listen to bigotry and hate blasted over western mainstream media justifying such harm and ill treatment of others is tiring.

So, e te iwi join me down the rapeti hole for some guided sound healing meditation.... or just don't.... watch war imagery on your devices, get off Facebook -have some water and stay asleep lol

Well guess who does too? and so proud that our Pati Māori MP's Issued an official statement condemning atrocities committed not only by HAMAS but also the Israeli Government.

Imagine this - It's the year 1972 - these determined Māori and pakeha, March into Wellington - Parliament Steps... with a suitcase full of 30,000 signed petitions at hand! asking for our language to be acknowledged, recognized and taught in schools across Aotearoa.

"The origins of the petition emerged out of the efforts of Ngā Tamatoa and the Te Reo Māori Society, two university-based groups which sought to have te reo Māori taught in schools. Along with Huinga Rangatahi (the New Zealand Māori Students’ Association).

These are some of the people who we owe our gratitude for having a hand at saving our language!

But maybe for you that gratitude could belong to your nan or your koro who always spoke Māori to you - It could be your parents who enrolled you into a Kura Kaupapa - It could be the Marae, your Maunga , the awa that you grew up around with our language safely preserved there! either way this living breathing taonga continues to live on...

Who would have Imagined that today we have kura kaupapa all across Aotearoa, Exclusively Māori broadcasting stations in Radio and Televison, tik Toks, podcasts, books, online courses and...Te reo classes so overwhelmed there are waiting lists!

Down the Rapeti hole tomorrow morning 7-8am! Sharing all things about an amazing event I was present at last week.

This event "Through the Fire " was created and dreamed up by two Talented Wahine Terina Ngawaka and Manawa Ohia.

Through the fire events are created to Empower and Inspire !
I can say that me and others present on that night certainly left that experience with the delivery of that purpose.
