Tomorrow we have TWO events at the studio!

6:00pm Drum Circle Jam with
7:30pm Sound Bath and Cacao with .soulworks

Build up your energy jamming with us on the drums in our drum circle jam session and release the energy to settle in meditation, cacao circle and a sound bath right after!

- POETRY OPEN MIC NIGHT -
Open mic for poetry, book excerpts and other spoken word + hot drinks available!
Both original and known works welcome.

10 July | 6:00pm
- DRUM CIRCLE JAM SESSION -
Freestyle jam session for drummers of all skill levels - bring your own djembes, tablas, bongos and more - or reserve one of our studio djembe's!

10 July | 7:30pm
- FULL MOON SOUND HEALING -
Cacao and Crystal Bowl meditation evening by Simunye Soulworks - relax for 90min of connection and reflection.

26 July | 3:00pm
- BEGINNERS DRUM CIRCLE -
The drum circle for beginners! This guided circle is a fun introductory way to build your skills on the djembe and jamming with a group. Drums provided!

27 July | 4:00pm
- SUNSET SESSIONS -
Intimate Live Music performances from THREE local artists, plus an hour of open mic and the return of local pop-up Night Cafe: LUNA LOVE.
This month's HEAVY lineup features:

It's a week until our Open Mic Night for poetry and other readings!

Gather with our community of writers, readers and appreciators to share a two hour open mic for readings of poetry, short stories, local book excerpts and musings.

Original and well-known works welcome.

This is a one-off event at this stage to trial run interest in the community, with the hope to potentially continue as a recurring event in the future!
If you think you may have interest in this event or community, THIS is the night to attend so we can assess if it will be practical to pursue holding this event and building this community.

We are a group of passionate artists, writers, poets, readers and appreciators who are eager to see growth in this community and sharing in a safe space.

Rat Planet Studios is an alcohol-free venue and a safe, inclusive third space.

Non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase and BYO snacks/ delivery food is welcome.

We look forward to seeing like-minds at this gathering and hope to build an great ongoing space for sharing words.

Tuesday 08 July | 6:30pm
Rat Planet Studios, Spring Hill

Now we know that WE are really keen for a night of sharing poems, book excerpts, diary entries, shower thoughts and more words - but we need to know if this is also something the community wants.

At this stage, this is a one-off TRIAL event. If you think you even MIGHT be interested in something like this, Tuesday 8 July is THE night to show up.

With enough turnout we'll try to make this something more regular but we need to know there's a community interest for it.

Mark your calendars and get your coats ready - it's going to be a cool winters night! Bring your ears and/or mouth for an evening of sharing words.
