The Listening Lounge has landed inside W Brisbane on North Quay, and it might be the most indulgent way to spend a night in the city right now.

It’s a private vinyl bar built around a wall of 100 hand-picked records, a state-of-the-art ADAM speaker system and a turntable you’re free to spin yourself. You set the tone when you book, from vintage glamour to night jazz to soft rock nostalgia, and your Experience Host builds the soundtrack around your group.

Then there’s the button on the table that does one job only: it orders you a martini.

• 100 records to flick through and spin all night, or connect over Bluetooth.

[ NEW ] BRISBANE’S NEWEST MEDITERRANEAN ROOFTOP HAS LANDED IN THE VALLEY WITH 180-DEGREE SKYLINE VIEWS AND A RETRACTABLE ROOF

Siroco Rooftop has officially opened its doors, perched at the top of The Constance hotel on Constance Street, Fortitude Valley. Brisbane’s newest rooftop will be taking over the top-level space previously home to TABOO and Dirty Sultan. Named after the Sirocco, the Mediterranean wind that sweeps across the region in spring and autumn, the venue leans into coastal fire cooking, Mediterranean spice and a light, airy, sun-soaked palette. Bonus: a sister venue, Bar Lucé, has opened downstairs.

THE ROOFTOP 🌅

🌇 The view: 180-degree Brisbane skyline views from the top of The Constance hotel.

☀️ The design: Neutral tones, stone tables, textured rendered walls and linen curtains for a raw, coastal feel.
