Day two in Zanzibar. We hired a taxi for the day and visited a spice farm where all manner of exotic spices are grown, Jolanzi forest for monkeys and birds (none sighted of the latter probably as just so hot) and then up to some of the island’s beautiful beaches. Visited Planet was designed with an intention to promote growth of a photographic database and aid impoverished people around the world. A percentage of funds raised through image sales goes towards supporting different indigenous peoples, charities and aid organizations. These funds are designed to educate, equip and encourage these people; many whom are very generous despite their limited resources and willingly share their food, homes and lives which are documented in photographs on this website. Visited Planet supports a vareity of projects, but in particular Cameras for Asia, that teaches photography in Nepal, Myanmar and India and leaves behind donated cameras.
