Police are appealing for public assistance to find a woman who has gone missing and is wanted for alleged criminal offences in Queensland.

There are concerns for the welfare of 30-year-old Kayla Cheree Maxfield (pictured), who was reported missing in Townsville on July 9 and is since believed to have travelled to NSW or VIC.

Anyone who sees Kayla is urged not to approach her but to call Triple Zero immediately.

Kayla, or anyone with information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Four people have been charged after police found a stash of stolen guns taken from a home west of Brisbane earlier this month.

It is alleged two masked men armed with axes forced their way into a Rosewood property around 5am, where they threatened and restrained a 76-year-old man before breaking into a gun safe and stealing 26 fi****ms.

Officers executed a search warrant last week at an Yvonne Drive property in Boronia Heights where they allegedly uncovered 22 fi****ms linked to the Rosewood robbery on July 13.

The four accused are yet to face court and investigations are ongoing.

A 44-year-old man has been charged with arson after a unit fire in Townsville’s West End earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to Percy Street just after 9pm on July 3, to reports a number of units were on fire.

A 54-year-old West End woman was rescued from the blaze and taken to Townsville University Hospital where she was treated for smoke inhalation.

Police bodycam vision shows the man being arrested after he was found hiding in a kitchen cupboard of a property in Heatley on July 18.

The man was refused bail and is due to reappear in the Townsville Magistrates Court in September.
