Just to finish off the Players cards, we have a record number of 8 teams, a total of 56 early round games plus the opportunity to play more in Semi-finals and Final.

After holding trials across Australia over the past three years, we’ve identified and selected the best available players during that time. The result of this thorough process is the formation of some of the strongest squads ever assembled to represent Australia on the international stage.

Importantly, those selected haven’t rested on their achievements. Over the past 6–7 months, they’ve worked hard to elevate their fitness, sharpen their skills, and improve their overall wellbeing — making them not only well-prepared for Sweden, but also outstanding ambassadors for Walking Football Australia.

All of Australia should be proud to get behind these eight remarkable teams, who will give their all to put Australia firmly on the global Walking Football map.

And for those aspiring to be part of the Walkaroos in future ~ take note: selection is only the beginning. Ongoing improvement, commitment to training, and a strong team mindset are essential to earn and keep a place on the international stage.

IWFF Walkaroos Pre-Tournament Session – QUT Cup & Social Tournament
Hi everyone,
As part of the QUT Cup & Social Tournament, the IWFF Walkaroos are hosting a Pre-Tournament Session at Coorparoo Indoor Sports Centre on Friday, April 25, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This session is primarily designed for Walkaroos Sweden players to gain extra fitness, but interstate players arriving early are also more than welcome to join.

🔹 Date: Friday, April 25
🔹 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
🔹 Venue: Coorparoo Indoor Sports Centre
🔹 Cost: $10 per player (to cover venue fees)
🔹 Who Can Join? Open to all teams, any age, any gender
🔹 Extras: Bar facilities will be available during and after the event

This is a great opportunity to sharpen skills, build team synergy, and prepare for the tournament in a fun and social environment.
