4ZZZ 4ZZZ is Queensland’s longest running FM radio station. Mostly, we are passionate about Brisbane and the things happening in our city.
(725)

As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we have been reliably pumping out alternative music, news and culture since we began as the official student radio at the University of Queensland in 1975. Four and a half decades and plenty of history later, we’re broadcasting from Barry Parade in Fortitude Valley, connecting and amplifying the voices of our community across south-east Queensland and str

eaming throughout the world. Whether it's music, arts, LGBTQIA+, First Nations or local issues, we endeavour to empower local communities through community broadcasting. We are run by a small team of paid and volunteer staff, governed by the 4ZZZ Board of Directors and like many community radio stations, powered by volunteers. From the voices you hear on the radio, to the people who process your CDs or run events with our name on it, everyone at 4ZZZ loves what they do. You’ll hear it when you tune into 102.1FM or listen to our digital channel Zed Digital on your DAB radio, both available to stream online.

🥁 AOTW | Denzel Kennedy - The Lucky Ones 🥁
From the AOTW Committee - “Local Hip Hop artist performed on 4ZZZ’s Right Here Right Now earlier this year and simply blew us away. It’s a treat to represent this album ‘The Lucky Ones’ - it’s a classy statement full of humour and pathos. You may have already heard the singles on the Zed airwaves ‘1997’ and ‘Viral’, but there’s plenty more here to delve into. Get lucky all week.”

🥁 AOTW | Solo Career - Interior Delirium 🥁
From the AOTW Committee - “Time for some synth pop! .career, the bedroom-pop project of Body Type’s Annabel Blackman, has been a fixture on 4ZZZ playlists for a few years now. This debut ‘Interior Delirium’ is exactly what it says on the packet - you may never leave the house! Single ‘Venus on Speed Dial’ has been on speed dial here at the Zeds. Enjoy.”

A NEW JAZZ SOUL tonight is a 'SCORPIO' celebration 🎧🎙🔥

Madison McFerrin is behind this gorgeous album. It's her second, thematically-fuelled by a breakdown of a former relationship and containing some simmering future-soul/jazzy goodness. 🫠👌

I was lucky enough to chat with Madison earlier this week about the creation of this album, finding balance within it, and her journey over the last decade as an independent artist ✨✨

9:00pm - 10:00pm on 4ZZZ Digital or streaming via the website, of course available anytime, anywhere via https://4zzz.org.au/program/a-new-jazz-soul (link in bio)! 📲 💻 📻 🎧🎙🔥
