I found myself asking the question over and over whilst spring cleaning this weekend.
"Why did I buy that?"

This weeks blog I am calling it The Year for Less. It's about mindfulness not money.

Do you really know what you buy? and DO you really need IT?

Picking the low-hanging fruit is the easy part.
The real challenge? Setting the big goals, preparing for them, and actually following through, while still balancing everything life throws at you.

This is where the rubber meets the road. 🚀

This week on the blog I’m talking about 100% accountability, not just planning, but doing. The small habits are locked in, now it’s time to tackle the big ones that truly move the needle.

Week 36 – 100% Accountability Last week, I shared that I would plan out my days, weeks, months, and even my year. I will be honest, it hasn’t been easy. Creating a plan that’s sustainable, something I can stick to even when life throws unexpected curve balls, takes a lot of thought. How do I [...

This week, I realised just how often multitasking creeps into my daily life. Talking on the Bluetooth while driving, cooking while chatting to friends, or trying to do a dozen things at once. My AHA moment? Doing two things at once doesn’t save time, it often creates more chaos.

That's where this week will flow into the greater good of what I am trying to achieve this year. I think its the missing link and the one that will propel me to the next level. I hope🥹

It will take a bit over the next week, but I am actually a bit excited to play with it

Wow, I tell you, what a week it’s been. Not multitasking is proving to be far more challenging than I ever imagined. It’s so deeply ingrained in me, more than I ever realised. I think for many women, it’s almost instinctive, built into us by our mothers, grandmothers, and every woman we have g...

For most of my career, multitasking was non-negotiable. In the kitchen, it was survival: prepping, serving, training, ordering, all at the same time. That rhythm of chaos became second nature to me.

But here’s the truth: I still multitask constantly, and it’s catching up with me. I have started to see how much stress it creates and how often it leaves things half-finished.

This week, I’m exploring how to actually remove multitasking from my life. Focus, structure, boundaries, these are the things I’m experimenting with now. But after decades of juggling, it won’t happen overnight.

👉 I’d love to hear from you: have you found a way to stop multitasking? What worked for you?

As a chef, the first thing you’re taught is how to do many things at once. It’s part of kitchen life. The more you have on the go, the more efficient you become, or at least that’s what you’re led to believe. Kitchens run on adrenaline. It’s fast, it’s furious, and it’s relentless. You...

Today is a one-time-only gift.
So don’t waste it on stress, drama, or negativity.
Be the blessing. Be the friend. Be the person who lights up the room.

✨ Week 34 – Setting a Daily Intention ✨
This week’s habit feels like a game changer. I have set intentions before, but if I’m honest, I did it half arsed. I thought it was just another thing to do. What I have realised is this: setting an intention isn’t about a goal or a to-do list, it’s about energy.
My year long intention has been to get 1% better each day/ week/month and it’s completely reshaped my life. But now I’m taking it deeper. Each morning, I’m setting a daily intention, a conscious choice about how I want to feel and how I want to show up.
It could be ease. It could be clarity. It could be peace. Whatever it is, that energy becomes the lens I carry into my day.
And honestly? I think this one habit could be the most pivotal shift yet.
Check out this week's blog here: https://katrinagcoaching.com/week-34-setting-a-daily.../
💭 So here’s my invitation to you: tomorrow morning, before the rush, pause and set your own daily intention. How do you want to feel today? What energy do you want to bring into the world today?
Drop your intention in the comments—I’d love to hear it. 💫

The Power of Daily Intention This week’s habit is a big one for me, bigger than I expected. I have set intentions before, but if I’m honest, I’ve done it half-heartedly. I thought I understood what it meant, but I was really treating it like another thing on the list, another “should” to c...

The Power of WHY

I thought my 52 Habits in 52 Weeks experiment was about habits. Stacking them. Sticking to them. Proving I could change.

But this week I had a huge realisation: Changing and sticking to habits starts with my WHY.

When your WHY is big enough, the habits follow.
When your WHY fades, the habits drift.

Over the last 6 months my life has changed in ways I couldn’t have imagined. And now, my mission is simple: finish what I started and dig even deeper into the WHY that drives it all.

The moment I reconnected with my WHY, I felt my energy return. Suddenly, the habits weren’t chores. They became natural. They gave me structure, focus, and more time for what matters.

This isn’t about willpower, or even discipline. It’s about intention. Habits are just the vehicle. The WHY is the fuel.

When your WHY is big enough, the how becomes easy.

And that’s the power of WHY.

This week's BLOG:

The Power of WHY This week I realised something massive, my 52 Habits in 52 Weeks experiment is more than just habits. It is actually about my WHY. For months I thought I was stacking habits, improving discipline, and ticking boxes. But the thing is, the habits were only the surface. The real change...

Do you have something you have given up when you get busy?

When I started this experiment, I made a list of habits I wanted to add, remove, or completely transform. One of them was reading.
I fell in love with it again during the 75 Hard challenge. Back then, curling up with a book and my favourite tea felt like pure luxury. But when the challenge ended, so did the habit… and almost two years later, I’ve barely picked up a book.

So I am bringing it back in.

What has fallen to the wayside because you don't have time for anymore?

Want to bring it back in read this weeks post :

When I started this 52-week experiment, I made a list of habits I wanted to add, remove, or completely transform. Some were about stopping the self-sabotage patterns I’d been dancing with for years. Some were about finally doing the things I had been promising myself I will “start on Monday.” ...

We throw around words like busy, stressed, disciplined, and wonder why we feel so disconnected, depleted, and overwhelmed.

What if we swapped busy for productive?
Work for play?
Discipline for devotion?

What if we chose words that felt lighter, softer, more aligned with who we actually want to be?

We don’t have to grind our way to growth. We can choose to lead, live, and connect with more grace, ease, and intention.

As leaders, parents, professionals, and humans, we set the tone with our language. The way we speak to ourselves and others is a mirror of what we believe is possible.

This week, I’m choosing ease. I’m choosing presence. I’m choosing words that align with the life I want to create, for myself and those around me.

If we want to change the culture, we have to start with the conversation.

Check out this weeks Blog:

This week, I wanted to dive into the narrative we speak to ourselves and the language we use with the world around us. So often, we find ourselves saying we are SO busy. Too busy to make a phone call. Too busy to catch up with a friend. Too busy to stop and truly connect. […]

Momentum Over Motivation:

After four weeks in Africa , climbing mountains, facing setbacks, stepping away from structure, I came home to a hard truth:

✨ Motivation didn’t follow me.

And when the fridge was full again and my lemon water ritual resumed, the spark still wasn’t there.

But here’s what was: momentum.

The kind of momentum that doesn’t need hype.
It’s built on habits.
Stacked day by day.
Done in the quiet.

Motivation is loud, but fleeting.
Momentum? It’s quiet but consistent. And it’s what gets results.

This week marks Week 27 of my 52 Habits in 52 Weeks experiment. And I’m not starting from scratch, I ’m starting from experience.
💧Water’s back.
🥗 Nutrition’s back.
🧠 Focus is sharpening.

I’m not relying on willpower. I’m riding the rhythm of what I’ve built.

I am talking about that moment right after a reset, or a lightbulb moment, the challenge you have been talking about. You’ve cleaned out the pantry, you have started eating better, you’re walking again, going to the gym, feeling fresh and fired up. And then… life gets in the way. The weekend e...

✨ It Was Never About the Summit… ✨
I just got back from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Months of training, planning, preparing, only to fall short of the summit by 350 meters.
At first, I felt gutted. Disappointed. Angry at myself, at the circumstances, even at the mountain.
But as the days passed, I realised something…
It was never about the summit.
It was about the laughter on the trail. The breathtaking sunrises. The porters who sang us up the mountain. The moment my husband gave up his own chance to summit to walk back down with me.
This trip reminded me of the very thing my 52 habits journey is teaching me every week: life is not about ticking off goals or reaching some imaginary “top.” It’s about the steps you take. The people you meet. The lessons you learn when plans go sideways.
This week’s blog is raw, real, and straight from my heart. I share the moment I let go of ego, found the magic in the mess, and discovered that the journey really is the destination.

🌿 If you’ve ever fallen short of a goal, this one’s for you.

It Was Never About the Summit I am back. Four weeks away, and this trip has cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect. I thought climbing Mount Kilimanjaro would be about reaching the top, standing at the summit with my arms outstretched like in the movies. That’s what we trained for. Six months o...
