Cod season 2025-2026:
Highlights for me are the people I have met the relationships, the conversations had back at camp or on the phone after casting for 14 hours with no bites, the unknown on why, how or when the next bite was coming. 100s of hours spent alone in remote locations.
At one point I went 3 months between fish over 100cm.
People see the images but often don’t understand the amount of time, discomfort, and determination required to achieve the result.
1000s of kilometres traveled, hiked, boated into special locations and waterways that hold the native iconic Murray Cod.
A special part is the first person to see a photo of the fish is a direct message to the lure maker, patiently waiting for the response.
For now: this is all she wrote.
I still have a heap more fish content to post over coming weeks.
