Can't believe this is happening... as it has been a hot minute since my last post! 🫣

I know you might have wondered what had happened to me - truth is I’ve been insanely busy juggling work and mum life, and something had to give. (yep, social media got benched).

So I thought I'd give you a quick overview of the last 12 or so months because that's been pretty exciting: ready for it... I turned 40, married the love of my life, went on a fabulous honeymoon (with kids) to Italy and France and am now the proud owner of a renovators dream! 😮‍💨

On the work side of things, I know things may have seemed quiet, but actually A LOT has been going on behind the scenes. I won't spill all the details in this post because ... well it's A LOT. So stay tuned for updates on my clients like , , .pr.agency, , , , , and .

Life is fun. And it’s been busy to say the least but it is well and truly time to bring some of that energy back here, too.

Coffee please, and hit us with it quick(ly). Wow, what a massive couple of months it has been for Full Stop Social Media. We're just going to put it in bullet point since our heads are a blur of content:

▫️We signed not one but three clients who we'll introduce you to in the coming days.

▫️We have a new content specialist joining our team today, which let me tell you is extremely exciting!

▫️We initiated a MASSIVE competition with one of our clients. And since the funding is coming together, we're pretty sure it is going to go live this side of Christmas! Which of course is not far away.

▫️And we missed our 8th birthday... ! But we'll come back to this in a month or so when we come up for air!

Since we've forgotten our own socials in the businesses of it all, we figured hit the three birds with the one stone. Or however the saying goes... 😅more details to come.

. It's been our mantra since day dot. SO much so we even made our very own neon sign, which is still going strong. 💪

But what does it mean to get people talking? How do we create genuine conversations with audiences?

We believe it boils down to this:

1. Working with the social algorithms. Because first things first. If your audiences can't see what you're saying, they can't respond to what you're saying. This means investing in video content, over still content (which is easier said than done for those who are a little set in their ways! 😉).

2. Social listening. Asking questions. AND tuning into the bigger dialogue. You've got to be interested in your audience. And when they respond, you need to weigh-in on the conversation, in an authentic way. Don't leave them hanging!

3. Catchy, sticky, value-adding content. It's time to go beyond the surface level commentary and reveal your purpose and your personality. It's a competitive world out there, so set your target at "always better."

Because here's the thing: if we don’t listen to what our audience wants, we won’t be able to meaningfully connect with them. We won’t be able to help or influence them. And we won't be able to have real impact.

It's true in our personal lives and it's true in our businesses.

So, how can we 'tune in'?

Here's a few simple ways to get started:

1. Identify the most frequently asked questions. Use social platforms to gather this information and use it to inform your content strategies.

2. Seek to understand what your customers love about your brand. Leverage this information to create campaigns that will resonate.

3. Identify your key social media customers. And figure out how you can utilise their traits to target new social audiences.
