VESNA: International Media Review 👀
Following the world premiere of VESNA at Festival de Cannes, we have been moved by the reception our film has received. Today, we are sharing some of what the international press is saying about VESNA. Our favorites are from Le Monde and Slate.fr.

⭐️ Mathieu Macheret for Le Monde:
“A film that recalls the best of Italian neorealism — a cinema of occupation and resistance Europe hasn’t seen since the postwar era.”

⭐️ Jean-Michel Frodon for Slate:
“The debut film by young Ukrainian filmmaker Rostislav Kirpichenko is the necessary counterpart to that of Zvyagintsev. Given the power of its direction and the precision of its subject matter, one might even regret that it is not in competition as well.”
