✨ A new chapter begins… 🚐

After losing our beloved caravan to a hail storm last year, we honestly weren’t sure where the journey would take us next.

Today, we’re excited to finally say…

The new van build has officially commenced! 🙌

This build is going to be something really special, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you.

A huge thank you goes to Steve, Mel and the incredible team at Comfort Caravans. From the very beginning, they’ve been so generous with their time, knowledge and patience, helping us turn our ideas into a reality. Nothing has been too much trouble, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done to make this build happen.

To everyone who’s followed our caravan adventures so far, thank you for sticking with us. We hope you’ll enjoy coming along for this exciting new chapter.

Watch this space… the adventure is only just beginning. 🤍

Help needed…for those who have done builds did you lose a whole bank of drawers to have a pullout bin?

I was hoping maybe the bottom of the pantry to retain the drawers?

Where is everyone who has a pull out bin situated?

Why are we seeing so many younger people selling up the house, cashing in assets, buying a nice caravan, a bigger 4x4 and hitting the road?
Honestly… can you blame them?
More and more people are working hard, paying massive mortgages, insane power bills, fuel, insurance, groceries and then handing over a huge chunk of their income in tax. You work harder to get ahead, but somehow it feels like you’re going backwards.
Then we see another budget roll out and many everyday Aussies and small business owners are left scratching their heads wondering… how much more can we absorb?
Running a business in Australia is becoming harder than ever. Wages up, super up, insurance through the roof, fuel costs, compliance, licences, council costs, food costs — the list never ends. Small business owners are the ones taking the risks, employing locals, supporting communities and sponsoring local events… yet many feel like they’re being squeezed from every direction.
And then there’s the housing conversation. For years, Australians have worked hard, invested, and used things like negative gearing to try and build a future or get ahead. Now there’s constant uncertainty around investment, affordability and what the future looks like. It leaves a lot of younger people thinking… why tie ourselves to a giant mortgage and stress when we could simplify life and actually LIVE?
So they’re buying caravans, setting up Starlink, working remotely, homeschooling the kids, exploring this beautiful country and making memories instead of chasing repayments.
Maybe they’ve figured out something the rest of us are still trying to work out… 🤔
Are we heading toward a future where more young Aussies choose the open road over the “traditional dream” of a big mortgage and being tied to one spot?

What an amazing weekend and a huge amount of appreciation and thanks to the team who once again pulled off an amazing event…Camp for a Cure 2026 was once again a huge success and let’s continue to kick cancer once day at a time. This hits home to our family this year, watching one of dearest fight the seemingly endless fight x Thankyou to you all and see you again next year 💙 to Nikki and crew, you are truly someone special xx see you again soon
