Highest guess: $364
Lowest guess: $200
Actual total: $225.21 👀

Almost everyone thought we spent more than we actually did… which honestly says a lot about how expensive groceries feel right now 😅

But we had TWO incredible guesses right in the sweet spot…
🏆 -$250
🏆 – $200

Both within about $25 of the total — and I LOVE that the lowest guess was one of the winners 👏

You’ve both won my Mortgage Tracker that I’ve been working on 🤍

It’s still in testing (not live yet 👀) but I’ll be sending it to your DMs.

Thank you to everyone who entered — I love doing these because it shows how powerful tracking really is.

Groceries don’t automatically have to be $350+ weeks… but if you don’t track, it’ll feel like they are.

If you want to get started budgeting, comment BUDGET and ill send you a link to the traxker we use, or comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free budget guide to help you get started budgeting 🤍

You guys, im so proud of us 😭

$40,000 saved.

32% of the way to our goal of $125,000 house deposit

Literally a third of they way to our goal 2 months into the year is wild!!

BUT, this comes from saving no to things we want in the now and deciding that the delayed gratification is sooo much better.

We've had some expensive weeks, big bills and moments where we still arent perfect and opt for takeaway but we are on track still, with our goal front of mind and the knowledge of where every dollar is going.

Let me know what you would like to see or hear from us on how we plan on trying to hit this goal early and have a bigger month of savings for March! 🫶⬇️✨️

Hey fam, I thought I had content scheduled, but obviously it didn't post, so here's the start of the content that failed to post while I've been busy, sorry!!😂

Starting with our January recap 💰✨️🫶

We had a really good start to the year.

I am a bit nervous about Feb but we are planning a weekend of life admin catch up as a couple so will keep you posted this time 😅

Week 6 Savings Check-In 💸🏡

House deposit goal for 2026: $125,000

Last week: $38,039.96
This week: $38,919.96
✨ +$880 saved

Not every week is huge but so grateful we are up at all honestly! Its been a week 😅

Not every week is glamorous. But every single week we move forward.

This is what discipline looks like.
Consistent transfers.
Intentional spending.
Tracking every dollar.

Slow progress > no progress.

If you’re on your own savings journey, comment “BUDGET” and I’ll send you the tracker we use 🤍

Ever just have one of those expensive life-bills weeks? 😅
You know the ones… everything hits at once.
Oh — and on top of these, the rates are due as well 🫠
BUT here’s the difference now 👇
We planned for it.
This was always going to be a lower savings week, and that’s okay.
Because the bills were expected, the money was already allocated, and nothing feels scary or stressful.
Old me?
Would’ve been spiralling, feeling behind, and wondering where it all went wrong.
New me?
Pays the bills, adjusts the savings target, and moves on.
That’s the power of a budget — not perfection, just preparedness!!
If you want help setting your budget up properly, you can:
👉 book a 1:1 budget call and we’ll map it out together to create a proper plan to get on top of your money 💰
Because expensive weeks don’t have feel overwhelming — when you’ve got a plan 💸

Week 5 savings check-in 💸

$38,039.96 saved toward our $125,000 goal

In January, we saved 50% of our income by:
✔️ tracking every dollar
✔️ being intentional with spending
✔️ keeping the goal front of mind every single week

Momentum is built in the unsexy, boring weeks 🙄
The weeks where nothing exciting happens… except your balance goes up — and honestly, that slow gratification is exactly what we’re here for.

Now that we’ve set up our February budget, we already know we won’t make the same kind of progress we did in January (hello big bills, birthdays and events galore!)

But that’s life — and we’re sharing it all, not just the highlight months, we still want to enjoy our money too when it comes to making memories.

So, if you arent already, follow along if you want realistic, weekly money updates. If your back watching the journey, thank you. I appreciate you so much!

Now, go chase your money goals! 🤍

While everyone’s out here talking about the latest rate increase RBA, let’s take a step back for a second🏡

Rate rises or not, interest is calculated daily📈

That’s why things like making more regular repayments, or keeping spare cash in a redraw style account, can be super powerful.

Your money sits there until you need it — but in the meantime, it’s working to reduce the interest charged and pay down your principal.

It’s not about reacting to headlines but being mindful of the affect. Interest rates change but your main strategy for reducing interest should be front of mind.

It’s about building habits and a plan that quietly saves you thousands over time. Implement a great strategy so your money is working for you!

House deposit update! 🏡🫶💕💰

$26,066.57 → $35,016.57 in 4 weeks

That’s + $8,950 in just 4 weeks 🥹

Feeling super blessed and grateful that we are able to put so much towards our future goals but no stopping here.

Consistency is key!

What we spent in a week - daily edition 💕
This is what life actually looks like for us lately.

I feel like we tried for a low spend week.
Some days were light.
Some days hit hard (rent day 🥲).
But tracking it all is how we stay in control instead of wondering where our money went. Like we use to!

No shame. No perfection. Just awareness.
Honestly? Awareness is where everything changed for us.

If you’ve never tracked your spending by day, try it for one week — it will seriously open your eyes.
