Hi all just wanted to say that I know this page has been a bit quiet for the last week or so. Not been able to do any sculpturing as been away from Bribie. 🪵 Sculpture Snapshot: The Quiet Gaze
This piece has a story.

It actually began as a failed sculpture of a friend — hard-edged, masculine, and not what I wanted. I kept the block, but the new idea was the total opposite:
A head with a long, elegant neck in the style of the 60s — calm, soft, and feminine.

The restriction was the shape of the original sculpture. I had to carve away every trace of the old idea to reveal something new.

It was made during a house sit, using what space and time I could find. Art on the move — always adapting.

🪵 Meet Bob the Ozzy Artist
I’m a sculptor and digital creator with a love for both abstract form and the living world. My hands are always busy — shaping stone, plaster, or digital pixels — even while my wife and I move from house to house dog sitting across Brisbane.

Creating art on the go isn’t easy, but it keeps me inspired. I work from borrowed backyards and local woodshops, carving out ideas wherever I can.

The two sculptures below show both sides of what I do:
🪶 A kookaburra, carved with care and simplicity
🌀 A bold abstract head — full of rhythm and energy

When I’m not sculpting, I explore the playful side of AI and digital art — printing my designs on T-shirts and sharing them with the world. You can see some of my fun creations here:

Hey folks, a quick update – sadly, we won’t be at the Eumundi Markets tomorrow as Vanessa’s been under the weather today. Wishing her a speedy recovery. ❤️

But the carving never stops! 👨‍🎨 While we're resting up, I thought I’d give you a first look at my latest creation in progress...

It’s weird, wild, and full of attitude – a cheeky face that’s sure to split opinions. Love it or not, it’s got personality in spades!

So, what do you see in this face? A grumpy goblin? A tongue-pulling trickster? Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder... 😉
