We are raised beneath a different sky, where the sun burns courage deep,
Where red dust stains our boots with pride, and the ocean sings our keep.
Where reefs and beaches shape our souls, and sunsets paint our land—
Before we ever wear a jersey, we're Queenslanders by hand.

Our favourite colour isn't chosen; it's been with us from the start.
Maroon is stitched through childhood dreams and woven through the heart.
We've stood together through the storms, we've celebrated every win,
For up here, mate, when one stands tall, we all stand tall with him.

Across your chest those letters read the promise of us all:
Queensland expects you'll do your job when duty makes the call.
Stand beside your mate with pride when every muscle aches and strains,
For every champion before you wore those same enduring chains.

So know that while you carry us, we'll carry you as one.
We'll roar until the final whistle and long after it is done.
We trust in you to wear Maroon; now trust in us the same—
We are one. We are Queenslanders. Now honour Queensland's name.

Tough week at Brookvale but the magic of Magic Round is here and Broncos fans are ready to roll into Brisbane 🔥

The boys were humbled by Manly with the lack of middle depth exposed, but after the run they’ve been on maybe they were due for one. Even the Carter boys reckon the stats still line up nicely for another big season 👀

Some huge positives this week:
✅ Deane Mariner is already back walking after FIVE surgeries in a massive recovery effort
✅ Reynolds returns at halfback
✅ Madge reshuffles the pack with Willison back to the middle
✅ Young Coates earns his debut on the wing
✅ Broncos to wear the 2006 Heritage Jersey on Sunday

And how good is this… the 2006 Premiership squad reunites in Brisbane for Magic Round. Premiership heroes everywhere you look… yes, even Shane Perry 😂

NRLW preseason is nearly here, Broncos Queensland Cup sides are back in action and Ben Te’o joins Billy Slater’s Maroons coaching staff ahead of Origin.

Magic Round in Brisbane just hits different. Bring on Sunday 💛💙

Another big week for the Brisbane Broncos — and this one tested them properly.

A tough trip to Sydney saw the Broncos take on a red-hot Sydney Roosters outfit. Down 30–0 early in the second half, it looked ugly… but this side’s got fight. They clawed their way back to within six points with ten to go before the Roosters shut the door late.

That’s the story of this team right now — undermanned, but not going away.

Off the back of that, the hits just keep coming:

Kotoni Staggs cops a 2-week ban
Adam Reynolds sidelined with a Category 1 concussion
Josiah Karapani dealing with an ankle issue
Deane Mariner (Mariner) suffers a serious medical emergency with compartment syndrome

It’s turning into a full-blown injury crisis — but the “next man up” mentality is being tested like never before.

There’s also movement off the field, with fresh noise around Queensland NRL clubs entering teams into the Queensland Cup. If you want the full breakdown on that, check out the video here https://youtu.be/7SUq3r4-UB8

Looking ahead to Round 10:
The Broncos head to Brookvale to face the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles with a reshuffled side. Big ins, forced changes, and a few question marks heading into game day.

It’s not pretty right now — but there’s something building in this squad.

Big ANZAC Round for the Broncos — and plenty to unpack.

From a powerful pre-game ceremony in the rain at Suncorp, to a statement 32–12 win over the Bulldogs, this was a night that meant more than footy. The tribute jerseys struck the right balance too — poppies on the chest and personal regiment insignia on the shoulder. Respect done properly.

But it’s not all smooth sailing…

Injuries keep piling up with Piakura sidelined again and young Bucowski now out as well — might be time to wrap Billy Walters… sorry, Paix… in bubble wrap. The MRC’s been busy too, with Riki copping a week and Mam taking the early plea.

There’s movement off the field as well:
– Ben Hunt eyes the No.7 jersey post-Reynolds
– Corey Jensen spotted back at training after a serious health scare
– New partnership with Coronis locked in

Plus we look ahead to:
– Women’s Origin kicking off (stacked with Broncos talent)
– Walsh’s early return from injury (huge in)
– Carrigan back, team changes for the Roosters clash

Plenty going on — and plenty to be excited about.

What a week…

A gutsy win over the Tigers, but the injury toll keeps climbing. Haas out, Jensen hospitalised, and a growing list of unavailable players.

Debuts, reshuffles, new signings — and now ANZAC Round.

Next man up.

Another week… more chaos.

Broncos fall short in a classic QLD derby, injuries keep piling up, Carrigan sidelined, and now a reshuffled side heads into a clash with the Tigers.

On top of that — a young forward chasing the NFL dream, Duffy’s future taking shape, and yet another new-look team list.

Questions everywhere right now.

Wins that feel like losses…

Broncos get the 2 points over the Titans, but lose Walsh, Hunt and possibly Reynolds in the process.
It’s a tough one to take heading into another Queensland derby.

Debuts, injuries, team list changes — and somehow Walsh still finds a way into the headlines.

Footy never slows down.

Big week for the Brisbane Broncos — and this time, they let the footy do the talking.

The first Battle of Brisbane for 2026 is in the books, with the Broncos taking down the Dolphins 26–12 in a performance that looked controlled from start to finish. It was a proper contest, but Brisbane always felt like they had the answers.

Off the field, there’s been no shortage of headlines either. Injury setbacks, integrity issues, team changes, and key signings — it’s all happening at Red Hill.

In this week’s Old Skool Broncos Round Up:

Broncos dominate the Battle of Brisbane
Injury blow for Grant Anderson (10–12 weeks)
Josiah Karapani incident and fallout
Team list breakdown for the Easter clash vs the Gold Coast Titans
Big contract news: Cory Paix, Antonio Verhoeven & NRLW signing Tavarna Papalii
NRLQ returns — Queensland’s answer to Jersey Flegg

Plenty to unpack and a massive long weekend of footy ahead.
