Here are some key highlights:

🔹 $1M GTD Jackstar is the focus, the only dealt event on that day with nothing else competing for dealers.

🔹 More space to play, Mozza-Mozza restaurant is now a dedicated poker room.

🔹 Live Status Board coming to registration, the poker room and your phone, showing late registration info, alternates, entries, and remaining players in real time.

🔹 Consistent registration opening times, every event’s registration now opens 2 hours prior to start.

🔹 Self-serve kiosks for quick re-entry with dedicated kiosks and colour-coded tickets to keep things clear.

🔹 Alternate numbers displayed as messages on the tournament clock, which you can also check via the APL app.

🔹 Main Event evening flights mostly start at 4pm for an earlier finish around 1:30am, except for one flight that starts at 6pm.

More dealers, more tables, clearer air, shorter registrations and better re-entry options. APL has really taken on board what players want and done everything possible to improve your experience.

In what was quite possibly the softest Midday Madness of the series with fish such as Malcolm Trayner, Liam Jehu, Bert Perry and Amin Riyazati, to name a few, in the field; Craig Abernethy has taken out today’s Midday Madness.

Craig is a founder of the Australian Poker Schedule which provides all poker news, results and schedules of the poker series across Australia and also co-host of the Poker Pulse Podcast alongside our very own APT Media personality Catherine Young. - you can catch one of their recent episodes which featured the APT State of Origin.

Craig started the final table short stacked but once he was in the money found himself tripling up TWICE with pocket aces. He then had a commanding chip lead but lost one crucial all in to then take an ICM deal for $4250.

Well done to Craig in a well fought for win.
