Goats appear across cultures as symbols of resilience, curiosity, and survival. They are climbers by nature, sure-footed, instinctive, and quietly determined.

Listen for what this goat trusts when the path feels uncertain.

Write a paragraph, a page, or a few lines.
Save this prompt and return to it whenever you like.

From Monday 5 January 2026, I’ll be sharing 33 daily images and writing prompts to help you gently step into a writing routine for the year ahead. Each day, I'm asking you to let the image become a character.

You can write a paragraph, a page, or a few lines. You can write every day, or only when you feel the image speak to you. There’s no catching up required here.
You don’t need to keep up. You just need to begin.

This is a quiet invitation to play, to listen, and to let characters emerge. We'll be exploring animals, places, people, objects, and moments that carry story.

Save the prompts. Come back to them. Write in private or share if you feel called.
I’ll be here, holding the rhythm, all you have to do is begin to write.

That’s a wrap for 2025. I’m all but out of words for the minute. See you soon in 2026.

The Heart of Wild Dog Creek beats with the Australian summer. There’s no sleigh bells, no snow. Just the humm of cicadas and the sound of life settling into itself.

Thank you for spending A Very Salucci Christmas with me at Wild Dog Creek and the families who meet to holiday there. And spend time together after the chaos of the year.

Just as I enjoyed bringing you into the simplicity of a Saulcci Christmas, mat your stories find sunlight in the ordinary and your characters remind you how much beauty is found in stillness.

Join me in January for 33 Days of Writing Characters. If you want to write more in 2026, this little project is a great way to start setting a regular practice and rhythm into a creative journey that speaks to the heart of our stories. I’ll see you then.
