Tribute to James “Jimmy” Campbell
We don’t always know the Hero’s among us.
James, also known as ‘Jimmy’ among his mates within the NQ Burnouts club, contributed indirectly to the lives of hundreds, and possibly thousands of competitors and spectators over time in the local Burnout community.
Until the weekend just gone, he had largely gone unsung for his efforts on our behalf. It’s unfortunate that we often don’t know or celebrate the hands that empower so many, without so much as a second thought as we go about our lives.
Jimmy, however, was remembered this weekend by the mates who did know his behind-the-scenes contribution to the NQ Burnouts family, who chose to pass the hat around among themselves and put up a fitting lofty memorial send-off to the heavens above.
Jimmy gave his time and effort as a concreter to help expand the pad for little-to-no compensation beyond a b**r, or recognition from the broader public who regularly enjoy the enhancement to their competition, entertainment, and the facility.
Within his humble passing may he Rest in Peace.
To his family, Condolences. Know that he is remembered.
Gone, but not forgotten.
Jamie Thygersen, Shane Millington. Well done guys.
