The goodbyes, doing so much on your own, the missed moments, and counting down the days until they’re home again.

FIFO has given our family opportunities, but it’s also made me realise how important time, freedom, and choice really are.

That’s why I’m building something of my own — creating more options for our family and our future. ✨

Last week we were in Darwin. Quality time with the family. Catching up with our girls. Sun, laughs, all the memories. ☀️ 💖

Today? Back to the 9-5. And an airport drop off for Trav.

One minute you’re all together. The next you’re waving goodbye at departures again.

Goodbyes never get easier. No matter how many times you do them. 😭

Missing our girls today. Missing my husband already. And he’s not even gone yet — just packing his bags in my head. 😅

This is my why. 🖤

Travis, who works away so hard for our family, but who I miss more than words some days. The kids, growing up faster than I can keep up with, who deserve a mum who's actually present, not just physically in the room but really there. This farm, all 38 acres of it, that I hold together mostly on my own, and that I love more than I probably show.

Every early morning before the sun's up, every load of washing, every school run, every fence checked, every meal on the table, it all comes back to them. To this life we're building together, even when Travis is a plane ride away.

What I wanted more than anything was freedom. Freedom to have him home more. Freedom to not feel stretched so thin every single day. Freedom to build something of my own that gave us more time together as a family, instead of more time apart.

Travis. The kids. This farm. That's my why.

Work hard in silence, let your success be the noise.

Nobody sees the 5am alarm before the farm's even awake, or the emails answered on lunch breaks between meetings, or the late nights building something of my own after the kids are finally down.

I'm not doing this for the applause. I'm doing it because I know exactly what I'm working toward, and I'd rather show you the outcome than talk about the process.

I didn't wake up one day and decide to be ""an entrepreneur."" I just got tired of my whole life revolving around a roster I had no control over.

I wanted something that was mine, something that didn't care if Travis was home or away, or if the farm needed me at 6am. So I started building it from my kitchen table, in the gaps of an already full life.

It's not hustle culture. It's slow, it's real, and it fits around real life instead of the other way around.
