⛰️THE STIRLING COMPLETION!⛰️ 110km 5500m elevation & 10+ mountains. It’s finally here to share with you all! This was the hardest thing I have ever done so to be able to bring you along and tell the story truly means a lot.

I would really appreciate if you took the time to watch. You can find it here:

My favourite reasons for moving to 📍Cairns!🗺️

1. More to EXPLORE🗺️
With landscapes that are a contrast to what you’d find in Perth, Carins offers the rugged rainforest and sometimes seemingly endless rain but hey that means creeks a plenty and tones of waterfalls

2.Camping in our Odyssey RTT🚗
We picked this up just before our move across but it’s been an absolute dream up here. Rather than having to pack up a wet soggy swag or tent we can just pop the tent down with all our clothes and bedding still inside.

3.More campsites!🏕️
While there are fewer campsites than I had thought there is still a vast amount. Even booked in to head out for a camp trip in the next couple days. Just the thought of camping by the creek and having the fire roaring is getting me excited. On top of that there’s something so cool about camping in the rainforest

Have you been to all these National Parks? 🥾

Australia has been blessed with some of the most beautiful National Parks there are and despite quite a few adventures I’m not even close to having seen them all.

I hope one day I can get close to having visited all 650+ but maybe I’ll have to have to shorten the list to something like 45. 👀😉

More coming soon…

The sun ☀️ is out which means I can get a good look at a spot I’m absolutely stoked to start getting to explore in my gear. Hinchinbrook island is one of those places that reminds me of the island in Jurassic park. Just an absolutely rugged place with plenty to be explored! Can’t wait to get over there soon

With the tallest peaks in the Great Barrier Reef and an epic multi day hike it’s an island that’s been on my books for a long time

See you soon Hinchy

Weeks of time starting over here in Cairns has had me thinking about a lot of big things. 🤔💭

🧍‍♂️How do I make friends from scratch again?

📆How to I make the most of my year in Cairns?

📋What are my priorities?

🥾How many hikes can I fit in every day?

I’ve come to the conclusion that this is truly my best chance to make what I want to do with my life. A reality. Theres no routines I have to change because I am starting them from scratch. Theres no social obligations or extra distractions I would normally have. It’s also my first year going full time and a great opportunity to smash it out of the park this year

Though sometimes scary and lonely I’m stoked to have this opportunity

STIRLING COMPLETION RECORD SET ✅
The single hardest, longest most ridiculous thing I have ever done in my life.

110km & 5550m of insanity

At the start of this year I wanted to set myself a goal to achieve something way beyond anything I have accomplished before. From that came the idea to summit every climbable peak in the Stirling Ranges. Something I dubbed “THE STIRLING COMPLETION

As someone who was reasonably fit normally I haven’t really trained for anything before. But this was different. I went to the gym for the first time time, I set myself goals for increasing my leg strength and endurance and I had to give up a bunch of things to make time for my training

Completing The Stirling Completion genuinely means more than I can describe. After 40km I was feeling great. Pushing my way through till a random click in my right knee meant I couldn’t bend it at all without sharp agonising pain. This meant progress was about to get a whole lot slower. The roads seemed to be okay. But as the darkness set in I had to summit Toolbrunup at 1am with only one functioning leg. After slogging that out and with the coldest part of the night set in I decided to sleep for an hour and a half with the hope my knee would get a bit better

After the sleep and pushing through some more road sections the knee was no better and I found myself 90km in with insanely painful legs cramps. This shook me to the edge. I still had two peaks to go and I barely felt like I could walk on flats anymore. I was done

But with what energy I had left I stocked up on meds food and water and manage to send it out there to complete the last two peaks. I had done it

I spent a lot of the last 10 years of my life climbing these mountains and so to get out there and prove to myself what I’m capable of in a place I value so deeply is definitely one for the books.

I hope that in some part this journey can inspire you that you as a human truly are capable of so much more than you know.

I also want to say a massive Thankyou to my sponsors

And to the insane support team that made this happen:

Next week at this very time I will have started the hardest thing I have ever done.

The Stirling completion. An 110km hike nonstop with 5400m of Elevation along the best mountain range here in Western Australia. The Stirling Ranges. I will be hiking the Stirling ridge walk along with Toolbrunup, Mt Trio, Mt Hassel, Talyuberlup and Magog as well as hiking between them. A feat that has never been done before

The Stirling Ranges has always been a playground of adventure for me and this to me is the way to put the cherry on top to show myself how far I’ve come and what I’m really capable of.

It’s gonna hurt but I’m ready

Really looking forward to sharing this insane adventure with you all. I will be posting daily recap content after the fact as well as a short film with the help of but if you want to keep up live with how it’s going you can join for live story updates as well as GPS Tracking!

I also want to say thanks to for supplying the equipment
for supplying the shoes and clothes
for communication equipment
And for having us stay at your epic campsite

Let’s get it!
