What is RREd Day?

Rural and Remote Education Day, an initiative of the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association, raises awareness of the unique challenges faced by geographically isolated students and celebrates the families, educators, and communities working to ensure every child can access a quality education—no matter the distance.

At Here in The Towers we have red rural Outback Linen ladies organic linen shirts, and men’s woven silk ties, designed especially for RRed Day in stock and ready for you to wear this Wednesday, 16 September.

Have you been seeing Outback Linen Co appear in your feeds lately? Us too! This amazing brand, based out of Yeppoon, Queensland has been making waves on social media with their organic linen clothing.

As of tomorrow we will have our first drop of Rural Outback Linen shirts on display just in time for Rural and Remote Education Day (RRED) this coming Wednesday, 16 September.

The red shirts have been especially designed for this event, and we are so lucky to have some of the last stock left in the country (limited sizes 12-24). Plus, we’ll also be stocking the very on-trend Smoked Cocoa, and classic White (all sizes 6-24).

These are so hot, we have already sold two shirts, whilst they were sitting in their packaging on a chair near the counter on the weekend, so be sure to get in quick!

Thanks to Sarah, owner of Outback Linen for personally delivering our first order whilst she was in town for rural_women_unite on the weekend. We feel very special.

Stumpy & Co is a local Charters Towers business inspired by the resilience and character of “Stumpy Tail” cattle dogs.

They specialise in natural, handcrafted balms and soaps designed for dogs, from nose to tail, with soothing, skin-friendly ingredients that treat dry paws, cracked noses, and other minor skin concerns.

What began as a passion project to care for fur babies soon grew into a business offering pet owners an alternative to chemical-laden skincare products.

They’ve been coming out every year, for several years now, and it’s always a great show.
