REVIEW: Bernadette Peters - Melt Festival

The icon and q***r broadway diva that is Bernadette Peters made her first appearance on Australian shores in 10 years last week as part of the LGTBQIA+ festival 'MELT.' It may have been 10 years but it was absolutely worth the wait! Singing a very large selection of her favourite songs (including a stunning rendition of Tenterfield Saddler in honour of Peter Allen) the audience was captivated by her powerhouse vocals and captivating stage presence.

REVIEW: Tell Me Something - Davidson Gluyas Productions

Tell Me Something by Sophia Davidson Gluyas took the stage at Metro Arts in West End this weekend. Set in 2005, we follow the lives of four q***r people living in Sydney and their experiences of growing up, growing feelings and what it means to be q***r. REVIEW: Accidental Death of an Anarchist - PIP Theatre

PIP Theatre’s production of ‘Accidental Death of an Anarchist’ is a predominantly comedic play that shares the unreliability of the police. As soon as the audience gets used to the characters on stage being fun and silly, they’re hit with serious matters that were first talked about in 1970 but also apply to modern Brisbane.

REVIEW: Mamma Mia - Spotlight Theatrical Company

Lace up your go go boots and zip up your disco outfits, its time to party the house down with Spotlight Theatre's most recent production, Mamma Mia! Under the watchful eye of director and choreographer Jamie Watt, this once tired and old show was given the breath of life. Watt has created a flawless production from top to bottom, with a lighting super show to bring us into Greece and a fabulous sing-along to close it out.
