Lake St Clair has been fully mapped for the first time, answering a question scientists have been wondering for decades: Is it really Australia’s deepest lake?
The lake was carved out by glaciers over millions of years and is located in Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage Area.
CSIRO researchers spent more than a week producing the first 3D map of the underwater landscape and have finally confirmed the depth of the deepest point.

I was told, ‘We don’t know how to insert an IV in dark skin.': That’s a lived experience of a migrant woman in Australia.
She was one of many who attended the National Multicultural Health and Wellbeing Conference, hosted by FECCA, to discuss policies aimed at making the Australian healthcare system more inclusive.
The conference addressed challenges, best practices and explored how to improve access to health and wellbeing services for Australia's culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) population.
