They say black cockatoos bring change and new beginnings. 🌠

Eleven of them flew over today which was so incredible..., and the sky followed with this stunning show.

I’ll take that as a good sign. 😊🩷

💬 𝙏𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙤’𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧…

You’ve spent years working full-time, caring for everyone else, and putting yourself last.
You’ve juggled family, work, and responsibilities… all while quietly wishing there was another way - a better way.

A way to earn an income without sacrificing all your time to a job.
A way to stop having to choose between work and family.
A way to finally have space for you again.

Meet Carolyn, Bec, and Kelly.
Three down-to-earth, hardworking rural women — a nurse, a wool classer, and a FIFO worker — who went looking for that “other way”… and found it.

They’ve each built an income online without giving up their precious time or the moments that matter most with their families.
They’re caring, supportive, and positive - and they’re here to show you what’s possible.

Happy Mother’s Day

Today I want to say a big Happy Mother’s Day to my own Mum and my Mum-In-Law ... always caring, supportive, and there when needed. I’m so grateful for everything you do and the love you give. 🙏

I also want to acknowledge all the other “Mums” out there ... the ones who may not have given birth, but who show up with love, care, and support in so many ways.

Maybe you’ve helped raise someone else’s kids, cared for your siblings, been there for friends and family when they needed it most or you are a fur baby Mum. 💞

Being a Mother isn’t just about biology ... it’s about showing up with love, patience, and a big heart.
Honestly, some of the most amazing mothers I know are my friends who’ve never given birth. They care deeply, give generously, and are there for others in a way that truly defines what it means to be a Mum. 🩷

So here’s to all of you. You matter. You’re appreciated. And you deserve to be celebrated today too. 💜

Monthly catch ups, meaningful moments 💕☕

Once a month, we make time for a special catch up with family and friends—sharing morning tea, conversation, and plenty of laughs. Life gets busy, and it's all too easy to let time slip by without seeing each other.

This little tradition actually began a few years ago thanks to my sister, who absolutely loves her chinos (coffee for those not in the know 😉). For a long time, I couldn’t join in because I was stuck in the 9-5 grind... but not anymore.

Thanks to my online business, I now have the time and flexibility freedom to enjoy what matters most—and today, that meant changing our usual catch up to enjoy a beautiful Mother’s Day High Tea at Brew Dalby Cafe. 🫖🌸

This amazing little spot is a social enterprise run by Waminda Services, supporting people with disabilities. Their slogan says it all:
“Great coffee with a side of social good.” 🙌

And wow—did they deliver! The high tea was absolutely delicious, the coffee was sensational, and the service was full of heart. 💛

Well done Brew Dalby Cafe—we loved supporting you today and hope many others do too!

Navigating the aged care system… where do you even begin? 😵‍💫

If you’ve ever tried to help your aging parents or loved ones access support, you’ll know how overwhelming it can be… and just how bloody emotional it feels when you realise the roles have quietly reversed. The people who once held you up now need your steady hand - and that shift can stir up so much more than we expect. 😔There have been quiet tears behind closed doors… moments where the weight of it all hits you out of nowhere. There’s been heartache - the kind that catches in your throat - and the strength to hold it together when all you really want to do is fall apart. And somehow, in the middle of it all… there’s been laughter too - the kind that reminds you love is still here, even in the hardest moments. 😀

So, about a year ago, I thought we were on the path with My Aged Care - but it turned out we were only accessing the Commonwealth Home Support Program. Forms, assessments, waiting lists, so many different areas … it’s enough to make your head spin. 😣 Fast forward to now, and we've just had our official assessment for the Home Care Package through My Aged Care. 🙌

Honestly, I expected roadblocks and frustration, but I have to say - we’ve been incredibly lucky. Every single person we’ve dealt with has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. 🙏
From the first call on Friday to the assessment on Wednesday of the next week, everything happened fast. And instead of a 12-month wait like we’d feared, we’re told it may only be a few months. That’s a blessing in itself. ❤️

Yes, there have been a few hiccups and head-shaking moments. But overall, I’m just so grateful.
Grateful that my parents - who have worked hard their whole lives, paid their taxes, and never asked for much - are now going to receive the support they deserve to stay in their home and retain their independence. 💗

I know not everyone is as fortunate to have help navigating these systems.
At their age, it can be confusing and daunting and all too hard to even try to do themselves.
But we've had the kindness of our local doctor, who took the time to really "see" them and support them and myself. And Nurse Karen, whose wisdom and compassion helped guide them gently into this next chapter. 🌱

We may live in a small country town, but the hearts of the majority of our healthcare workers are anything but small. They’ve shown us what true care looks like - not just ticking boxes, but truly walking beside their patients.

To anyone who’s been putting this off… please don’t.
It might feel scary, but I promise it’s not as hard as it seems.
And your loved ones are worth it. 💕

Sometimes love looks like paperwork.
Sometimes it looks like guidance.
Sometimes love looks like quietly showing up - with respect, care, and integrity - as your parents begin this next phase of their journey. 🩷

If you are on this journey with your loved ones and ever want someone to talk to, I am here. 🩷 Cindy

Do you ever have these kinds of mornings? 😫☕️

I needed to get a fasting blood test done, so I did everything right -no food, no coffee, no nothing....and I love my coffee. 😁
Waited until after the pathology morning rush (you know it right), drove 30 minutes into town, waited another 30 minutes at pathology…so didn't actually miss the rush. 🙃

Only to be told they couldn’t do the test because I’d taken medication I wasn’t supposed to.
My fault. I forgot. I could not believe it.
And honestly? I could have cried.

I was so annoyed with myself - frustrated that my brain just doesn’t seem to work some days.
Call it age, call it menopause… whatever it is, it’s bloody frustrating.

The memory lapses.
The brain fog.
The painful joints.
The random weight gain.
The hot flushes (seriously, what fresh hell is that?! 😅)
All the things we don’t need or want.
So frustrating. Some days I genuinely wonder, "Am I losing it?" 😂

The upside? I treated myself to a beautiful breakfast - long black with almond milk and The Brixton from Café 63 (bircher muesli with greek yoghurt, berry compote, and macadamias… highly recommend! 😍).
And the silver lining? I’ll get to have it again… when I go back for the blood test. 😂

Anyone else feel like menopause has hijacked their brain and body?
What’s helped you get through it or feel more like yourself again? 🩷
