We've travelled Australia and eaten our fair share of pies over the years, with Michelle also spending five years managing the kitchen of one of NSW's best.

So when it comes to pies, we'd like to think we've done our research.

After trying pies from bakeries all over the country, we can honestly say Ben's Bakehouse is serving some of the best we've come across... their sweets are also a must try!

One of the biggest misconceptions about social media is that it's all about followers and likes.

It's not.

Let's face it, most people don't want to follow every venue they've ever eaten at.

What matters is becoming recognisable.

When someone sees a photo, reel or story, they should know it's your business before they even see the logo. That's where branding comes in. Consistent photography, colours, messaging, music and personality.

The other part people forget?

Being social and engagement.

If customers are sending messages, leaving comments or asking questions, they expect a response. Social media works best when it's a conversation, not a noticeboard.

Because people don't book the place they follow.

They book the place they remember.

And they come back to the place where they feel valued.

Cold foam has officially become our coffee obsession.

Creamy, velvety and floating perfectly on top, it turns an everyday iced into something a little bit special (and extra indulgent 🤭). Whether you're a vanilla cold foam fan or love trying the latest creations, we're definitely on board with this coffee craze.

Are you fan? Where's your favourite place to get cold foam coffee?

If you didn't know Charlie's was here, you'd probably walk straight past it.

Hidden away in Austin Lane, this Darwin gem is an amazing restaurant, cocktail bar and gin distillery. The kind of place that feels like a secret the first time you visit, but quickly becomes somewhere you can't wait to return to.

Expect a menu showcasing quality Australian produce, creative cocktails featuring house-distilled spirits, and a relaxed atmosphere that's just as suited to date night as it is catching up with friends.

Have you ever tried Soto Betawi?

For the final part of our Indonesian food series, we visited Borneo Intersection, located in the food court at Casuarina Square.

The owner, originally from Jakarta, recommended we try Soto Betawi — a rich, aromatic beef soup that's one of the capital's most loved dishes. Served with steamed rice, pickles, sambal and crunchy emping (bitternut) crackers, it's hearty, comforting and packed with flavour.

Open daily during Casuarina Square trading hours. Because sure to visit!
