My natural hair with no products 😆 from my mother side Warramiri, ocean people.

I put it in a bun everyday becuase it makes too much people look at me. My hair is very thick its enough to fit 4 or 5 peoples head 🤣 like seriously

When im in Bali there is always 4 people working on my hair.

My last hair work in bali was over 6 hours and that was only getting the knots out 😅

One Yolŋu word can become complex very quickly due to its kinship system, called Gurrutu. The relationships between words in the Yolŋu world do not exist in Western linguistics. Here are academic examples of Yolŋu Dhuwa and Yirritja words.

These synonyms are related to one another through wind, rain, and cloud systems. Each word here exist and comes from ceremonial songlines.
Our Yolŋu words are kept safe and is one of the olderst archive systems in the world called Manikay. Manikay is sung by our men only and women sing the Milkarri, wailing.

Baltha (Cumulus Thunderhead) Yirtitja
Balkurrk (rain) Dhuwa
Wanbana (rain) Dhuwa
Waltjan (rain) Dhuwa
Dharyun (rain) Dhuwa
Bulwunu (rain, wind and cloud) Dhuwa
Wata (wind) dhuwa and yirritja
Luŋgurrma (northeast wind) Yirritja

(Pls correct me if im wrong, thanks as im still learning too)
