🌿 June is Lipedema Awareness Month 💙 I'm raising awareness of the metabolic and cellular differences between lipoedema and obesity.
Lipedema is a chronic, progressive condition that affects millions of women—often silently, painfully, and with deep misunderstanding.
It’s not caused by overeating or inactivity. It’s not “just fat.” It’s a connective tissue disorder that creates disproportionate, often painful swelling—usually in the hips, buttocks, legs, and sometimes arms.
✨ But here’s what I want every woman living with Lipedema to know:
You can still be healthy, even underneath the Lipedema tissue.
You can be strong, vibrant, brilliantly alive.
You can walk with grace—even if you walk with a walking frame.
You are more than what they see. You are more than what they misunderstand.
This month, I’m raising awareness not just for diagnosis and treatment, but for dignity. For compassion. For visibility.
If you’re living with Lipedema, you’re not alone—and you are absolutely worthy of care, love, and respect.
Let’s change the conversation. Let’s fight for better research, better access to treatment, and better understanding. 💪💙
