Setting sun

Where I sit, sun smiled
Setting lovingly, I smiled back
Knowing it went by, the day,
Another one of those days,
My heart sank, I gotta work hard,
Times passing by, like a river
Its course unknown,
Yet, the Lord is merciful,
He gives more days to me,
Worthwhile has to be, my life
I thought hard.

Before I put my pen down
To rest,
Let me tell you this,
I'm not a poet,
I'm not a writer,
It's something I love
doing,
Out of the ordinary
I can not hold it
back,
It keeps knocking in my
chest,
How can I shut it
out?
It's got a voice I can't
resist,
Just too loud for my
ears,
The passion for it is
burning,
Deep inside my
soul,
The flame's too strong for my
Body,
So I picked up my
pen,
And I started writing ✍️

"Jealousy"

Jealousy, a cancerous disease,
Carried within, hard to see.
For a lifetime, it may dwell,
A silent burden, a hidden hell.

Once it grasps you, it cages you down,
Twisting joy and dimming your light.
What you send out finds its way,
Returning to you in double fold,
Slowing your progress, darkening your world,
It stumbles your steps, weighs down your soul,
Dreams feel distant, slipping from control.

Let go of burdens, release jealousy,
Set your heart free, let love flow free.
Clear your mind, let your spirit see,
Only then will growth take place,
As blessings flow softly, abundantly to you,
Like a river with nothing to hold back,
Life is spiritual, embrace the light.
