A piece of tattoo history 🖤
The late Bill Phillips, tattoo artist, pictured here wearing fine-line work tattooed by my grandfather, Danny Robinson.
There’s something pretty special about seeing these old photographs — not only the artists themselves, but the tattoos, the styles and the stories that connected them. Pieces of an Australian tattooing history that existed long before social media ever documented it.
Both Bill and Danny have sadly passed, but photographs like this keep a little piece of their story alive. 🖤
