I want to extend my sincere thanks to all the candidates who put themselves forward to serve our region. It's been a pleasure getting to know each of you.

To all who supported me, your assistance, encouragement and support have meant the world. I couldn't have done it without you.

I congratulate all those that gain a position on council, it is a wonderful privilege to be part of a team to guide the future, balancing the protection of our rural amenities and the development of the region with all its unique assets

I've lived here, started and run my business, and raised my family here. Serving as your Councillor for the past 12 years has been an absolute honour, and my belief in the potential of our region has only grown stronger. Pleased to have attended Sancintya Mohini Simpson's exhibition opening at The Somerset Regional Art Gallery - The Condensery in Toogoolawah a few weeks ago.

Today, on International Women's Day, I choose to highlight Simpson's work, skillfully navigating the complexities of migration, memory, and trauma. A poignant celebration of women's achievements across social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. Congratulations.

What an amazing day!
Handing how to vote cards for Councillor Jason Wendt for Mayor, Councillor Candidates Glenys Willocks, Sally Jess and Brett Freese.
I was overwhelmed with the response from our local residents concerning my news article in the local newspapers. I was thanked for sharing my experience, my knowledge and future needs of our region. We trust you!
I was also overwhelmed by those residents who thanked me for my ongoing representation and support. We need someone in the north to replace you, and maintain the local voice.
I have been asked repeatedly who should I vote for?
It is such a personal choice, and I believe those residents who have been able to make one of the (5) Meet the Candidates Nights have really benefited by their attendance. The Lockyer & Somerset Newspaper shared the bio of each candidate in their paper on 28 February.
The top NINE (out of a possible of 14 candidates) for me, and I never appreciate having to do this, but after attending 3 of the 5 Meet the Candidates nights, this is my selection:-

I always look for even representation as we are not a divided region. Every Councillor and the Mayor represents every Somerset constituent. We travel and represent residents from Jimna in the north, to Minden in the south.

It is also good to have an equal number of female and male Councillors (3 and 3).
