Flood waters see numbers of mice increase again in the Forbes area's with some residents reporting that whole families had just moved in overnight fears are growing that another plague could be just around the corner.

And in other news Scott Morrison (Scomo) visited Forbes to thank local members of the Ses for there work during the Forbes floods mentioning his trip to Bathurst's mount panorama before voicing his concerns to local mayor Phyllis Miller of the water in the states Central North namoi region aswell as Qld before wishing everyone a merry Xmas and jumping in a helicopter to visit local farmers affected by the floods.

Unbelievably we had a clear dark night last night. This is 4 hours data of the Vela supernova remnant which passes overhead of us here in the southern hemisphere at this time of year. Only 11-12000 years old and 800 light years away it is very close to us astronomically.
Four hours of Ha & O111 data is nowhere near enough data for this gem but as it is raining again now we can only take what we can get. Taken through a high grade Canon 135mm lens.

Good News for Race goers in Forbes with refurbishments to track facilities and a new rail being installed there must be a push for more race meetings coming to Forbes which is good news for country racing and the community in general who suffered during covid with alot of our main races being abandoned.
