Sometimes, the brief is:

"Make it sound less polished... more like your fun friend telling a story over coffee."

And I absolutely love that.

Not every voice-over needs to be corporate, smooth, or serious.

In fact, some of my favourite bookings are the ones that let me loosen up a little—where clients say, “We don’t want it to sound like a voice-over…” and I get to play.

I totally loved voicing all of the characters in Trident Tales, I was casted for 6 in total.

All my characters were remotely self recorded in my pro home studio.

There were no revisions required as I always will do a rolling record so post production of the Video Game at the Agency has several takes to select from.

Meet my 3rd Main Character in this amazing Pirate Adventure - Trident Tales.

Sira - Slight British/Slight Spanish was the accent directive given and delivered as requested.

Here we go again — heading towards another EOFY… and wow, hasn’t it flown?

This year has been full of incredible growth, new connections, and rewarding voice over opportunities. From working with a wonderful wave of new clients, to lending my voice to countless projects across commercial, eLearning, corporate, and narration — it’s been a big one!

A personal milestone?

🎮 My very first multi-character video game casting in Trident Tales, which is now officially released and out in the world!

It was such an exciting project to be part of — full of creativity, collaboration, and character work I absolutely loved. You can check it out now on Steam and other gaming platforms, here's the steam link https://store.steampowered.com/app/2541780/Tridents_Tale/

A big thanks to dpstudios in Italy and 3DClouds Computer Games, Milan, for bringing me on board and trusting me with these roles. Through the game you'll see me as 3 major Characters "Daquara", "Yvonne" and "Sira" as well as 3 minor characters Scientist 1, Pirate Judge and a Female Pirate.

Soon I'll share some video game play scenes, but for now you'll see how "Daqara" looks in the pic below.

As EOFY rolls in, I’m taking a moment to reflect with gratitude — not just for the bookings, but for the relationships, creative growth, and opportunities to tell stories in so many ways.

This has been an amazing creative process with Nate Begal, US based Voice Actor & Coach.

This reel highlights versatility of characters I can perform.

Need a character for childrens E-learning, Animated Cartoon Series, Audio Book or Youtube Channel.

These characters are developed characters than can be adapted to any Animation Project.

1. SKYE - A captivating Seductress yearning for a moment of connection.

2. British AI Voice Navigator aboard a Spaceship.

3. Brody - The laid-back Male Surfer Dude.

4. Karla - A fearless Aussie Female Heroine battling enemy Zombies.

5. Lulu - The spirited Young American girl.

6. Bboy - A mischievous Southern Male Cat delighting in teasing his canine companion, faithy, in the garden.

Following on from my May wrap-up (and that little “oops, I forgot a win!” moment), I’m heading into June feeling energised, organised — and excited about what’s already lining up.

May reminded me that the simplest reads often land the hardest. That Travelex explainer gig via our UK agency partner was a perfect example: relaxed, human, real — no push, no polish, just truth. And the fact they want to book me again? That kind of feedback fuels the fire.

So what’s on the cards for June?

🌍 More bookings with international agency partners
🎧 A few live-directed sessions already scheduled (hello, Source Connect!)
🗂️ Ongoing narration, eLearning projects and Commercial bookings
🚀 And yes… we're chipping away at some personal VO goals behind the scenes too (more on that later).

Update: I forgot to mention one more May highlight!

(See? This is why I should never leave my socials for two weeks... I lose track of the wins.)

Among the stack of projects I’ve been voicing this month, I was also lucky enough to team up with one of our UK agency partners to voice an explainer video for a global brand.

🎙️ They were after a relaxed, conversational, matter-of-fact tone — something that felt real and grounded.

Not overly “salesy,” just… human.

The result?

✅ A happy client
✅ A happy agency
✅ And even better — they’ve already said they’d like to work with me again!

It’s these kinds of projects that remind me how powerful simplicity in delivery can be — and how grateful I am for the continued opportunities that come through our connections abroad.

Another lovely May win for the Pookies Production studio — and more proof that great work (and great clients) truly come from all corners of the world.

Confession time...

I’ve been naughty. Two weeks without a Socials post. 😳

But! I promise I wasn't lounging around binge-watching cat videos (although Effie Moo Moo and B’Boy do make that tempting). I’ve simply been tied up in the booth... in the best kind of way!

🎙️ May has been a busy month here at Pookies Production, and I’m feeling very grateful to have a steady stream of exciting bookings for both myself and Anthony.

Here’s a little peek at what’s been keeping the mic warm:

✨ A large-scale Children’s E-Learning project for a startup app — think playful, playschool-style tutorials that make me smile every time I hit "record."

🎧 A plethora of On-Hold Messages (yep, we’re the voices that keep you company while you wait).

📻 A stack of Spotify Ads — snappy, punchy, and fun to voice!

📚 An exciting Audiobook project in the works.

🎭 And... drum roll please — my first ever professional Animation Character Demo is about to drop! A dream come true and something I’ve wanted to do for years.

So, if I’ve been a bit quiet on the socials lately, it’s only because the booth has been very loud — in the best possible way.

Thanks to our wonderful clients, collaborators, and the fab new connections made here on Facebook that have been coming through the Pookies Production studio and booking our voices for their projects.

Here’s to doing what we love — and remembering to post about it once in a while! 😅
