The Werrimull Hotel, proudly known as Victoria’s most outback pub, is a captivating destination offering rugged character and authentic country hospitality in the remote Millewa region, northwest Victoria.

Situated about 80 kilometres southwest of Mildura, this historical hotel is the heart of the tiny township of Werrimull, embraced by vast barley fields and the wide skies of the Mallee.

10 AMAZING REGIONAL PUBS - TIBOOBURRA HOTEL - Tibooburra (NSW)

The Tibooburra Hotel is an elegant two-storey sandstone building on the corner of Briscoe and Wills Street. It is the oldest of the two hotels left remaining in Tibooburra and was built of locally quarried sandstone in 1882. The sandstone was transported to town by horse and cart and then hand-cut and hand- chipped to form the beautiful stone structure which remains today. The hotel would have been used by locals and travellers alike, with Cobb & Co coaches carrying mail and passengers twice a week to the town.

10 AMAZING REGIONAL PUBS - SILKWOOD HOTEL - Silkwood (Qld)

Silkwood, a rural town, is 90 km south-east of Cairns and 25 km south of Innisfail. It was named after a tree-covered hill, which could have had any of several 'silkwood' species native to north Queensland and valued for furniture or building. In all cases the timber displays a silky lustre. The historic non-heritage listed Silkwood Hotel is the sole licensed premises in Silkwood. Built originally in 1927 and re-built and re-opened after a fire in 1938, the hotel still holds most of her old-world charm with updates and refurbishment scattered throughout the building.
