If you've ever wondered why I share what I share, here's the short version.

A few years ago, during perimenopause, my anxiety got so bad I nearly had a nervous breakdown.

I couldn't switch my brain off.
I was overthinking everything, exhausted but couldn't sleep, and honestly thought something was seriously wrong with me.

Turns out, it was hormones.

And I wasn't alone.

I found something that helped me feel calm again —

genuinely calm, not just managing.

And it changed everything.

Now I share what I've learned because I know there are other women 40+ going through exactly what I went through, thinking it's just them.

No build up.
No reason.

They haven’t.

Estrogen doesn’t just affect your body…

it also supports serotonin — the chemical that helps your brain feel calm.

So when estrogen starts fluctuating or dropping?

Your brain has less support to stay balanced.

Which is why you might notice:
Feeling anxious for no reason
More emotional than usual
Less able to cope with things that used to be fine

Hormone changes can literally affect how calm your brain feels.

Did you know…

If you’re in perimenopause or menopause and dealing with anxiety or constant overthinking…

It might not actually be “just you”.

When your hormones start shifting, especially estrogen and progesterone…

your brain loses a lot of its natural calm.

Which is why you can feel:
Wired for no reason
Overthinking everything
Fine when you’re busy… but not when you stop

It’s not something you can just “think your way out of”.

Understanding this was a big shift for me…

because it made me realise I wasn’t the problem.

As I've reached this stage of life, I've noticed its not just my thinking...It's how much I over think.

Going over things again and again and thinking the worst all the time.

It's not always constant, but it definitely has an impact on my life.

I used to get really frustrated with it.

Now I just handle it differently.

Anyone else feel the same?
