PRO TIP: Don't stay in Venice, stay in Verona instead and catch the train to Venice for a day trip.

We left on one of the earliest trains from Verona (6:22am) to arrive in Venice around 7:50. We then returned after dinner. Book your train tickets in advance via www.omio.com. Some trains are faster than others so take that into account. Tickets were €10 (but change depending on train type and time).
