With 5 days to go on our Kickstarter, it’s time to reveal the front cover for ‘Rock Car’, which I’ve kept under wraps for a while. I worked with (Australi) to create something visually distinct, echoing works of Frazetta and interpreting the world in a unique way to the inner art. The logo (done by Seb Thomas) compliments the bold choices the story makes.

12 days left to go on our Kickstarter! Please share with your friends and support if you want to read this completely self-contained story about a father & son roadtrip.

Here are a few updates:

- The page count has increased by 2 (133 total), with an exciting new character who makes a brief but dynamic appearance. I’ve pulled the trigger on getting these pages done in time for the end of Kickstarter campaign so everyone benefits from the extra story.

- We’ve received a physical proof from the printers. It looks great! On track to deliver once the Kickstarter ends and in time for a Christmas delivery.

- Don’t forget to share if you love 90s anime, manga or are just curious what happens when you combine Japanese style storytelling with the Australian landscape.

A few updates for ‘Rock Car’ (Kickstarter link in bio)

- 2 pages will be added to the story and given to everyone who has pledged for either a digital or physical copy. A total of 133 pages! There will be no delay in shipping due to this addition as we are working on completing these pages prior to December 1st.

- We’re successfully funded! Thanks to everyone who has backed so far, we’ve reached the funding goal. Contributions will go toward printing costs and the aforementioned new pages (and character 👀 🎷).

- The paperback has now been registered with an ISBN. Effectively, this means there will be no difference from the eventual retail copy (early 2025 likely).

In case you hadn't noticed, 'Rock Car' went live on Kickstarter last Sunday and smashed its funding goal within several hours.
As of today, the Kickstarter team has branded it as a 'Project we Love' "which is our way of highlighting brilliant examples of creativity."
The initial print run will be ready to ship as soon as the campaign ends on December 4th, so check it out!
