• Oia is famous for sunset views and white cave-style houses.
• Imerovigli is known as the “balcony of the Aegean.”
• The island was formed after a huge eruption around 1600 BC.
✈️ Best Time to Visit
• May–June & September–October → Warm weather + fewer crowds.
• July–August → Peak season (very busy + expensive).
💡 Travel Tips
• Stay in Imerovigli for the same caldera views as Oia but often cheaper.
• Book sunset dinner reservations weeks in advance in peak season.
• Rent an ATV to explore beaches like Red Beach & Perissa.
• Visit early morning for photos — it’s much quieter.
• Book cave hotels early (they sell out fast).
