After plenty of behind-the-scenes work, Bowen Mechanical Repairs has officially made the move to Harden, NSW.

So, what does this mean for our existing customers?

Absolutely nothing.

We’re still the same Bowen Mechanical Repairs you’ve come to know and trust, and we’re still 100% committed to our loyal customers.

The only change is our schedule.

📅 We’ll now be servicing Canberra, Yass and the greater region every Wednesday and Thursday, with bookings planned around those dedicated service days.

Forgot to check my ratchet straps and paid the price 😅

A 205L drum of waste oil came off the trailer. Thankfully it happened early on a quiet country road and there was no damage.

On the bright side, the homemade drum lifter proved I’ve got more brains than brawn 😂

This cylinder head wasn’t heavily carboned up, but there was enough there to do a quick demonstration.

Used some LA538 Engine Flush as a wipe-on, wipe-off cleaner to show the cleaning effect. Thought it was a good visual example of what the product is designed to do when used as an engine flush.

Been on this clutch job since before sunrise and once again I've been caught out by a clutch kit with no spigot bearing 😅

Why is it that light vehicle clutch kits almost always come with one, but heavy vehicle kits are a lucky dip?

Some manufacturers include them, some don't, and you're left chasing parts in the middle of the job.

Am I the only one that finds this frustrating?

Truck finally got towed after the chaos the other day… just in time for me to do the clutch in the rain instead of the sunshine 😅🌧️

But honestly, Australia needs more heavy diesel mechanics.Without trucks Australia stops… and without heavy vehicle mechanics, the trucks stop too.

AI isn’t out here fixing trucks roadside in the rain.
