Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori has began.
Here’s what is happening back in Aotearoa.

TE WIKI O TE REO MĀORI ❤️ He reo mō ake tonu atu te reo Māori, ake, ake, ake. Kāore e herea tā mātou ū ki te reo Māori mō te wiki kotahi noa iho, engari he reo ia rā, ia rā.
He taonga te reo Māori. Kua ū Te Tahuhu ki te tiaki, te Whakanui, ā, kia mārama, kia wātea hoki te whakamahi i te reo Māori kounga i roto i ā mātou mahio katoa.
Ka pēnei tā mātou tautoko i te Maihi Karauna, arā ko te Rautaki Reo Māori a te Karauna, mā te whakatinana hoki i a Tau Mai Te Reo, arā ko te Rautaki Reo Māori i roto i te pūnaha mātauranga.

Te reo Māori is a taonga and the Ministry is committed to protecting, promoting and making sure the consistent, accessible use of high-quality reo across all we do.
We do this through supporting Maihi Karauna | the Crown's Māori Language Strategy and implementing Tau Mai Te Reo | The Māori Language in Education Strategy.
