Experience the Fraser Coast Orchestra’s inaugural concert event, A Night at the Proms, in a rousing musical journey across the British Isles! Rejoice in an evening of pomp and circumstance in the tradition of the well-loved BBC Proms.

Conductor Barrie Gott leads the Fraser Coast Orchestra from the podium with a patriotic program of all-time favourites such as Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance, Finlandia, Rule Britannia and many more.

This event will showcase the talents of over 50 local musicians from the Fraser Coast region and our shining star, soprano Judit Molnar. Other special guests include the Fraser Coast Highlanders Pipe Band (The Highlanders).

Bring along your flags to wave (all nationalities welcome) or purchase a Union Jack at the door, and dress in your finest if you wish.

Purchase tickets online at the Brolga Theatre, https://brolga.ourfrasercoast.com.au/events/event/1881/a-night-at-the-proms-fraser-coast-orchestra

A Night at the Proms is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) - a joint initiative between the Qld Government and the Fraser Coast Regional Council, and proudly sponsored by Richers Transport, Ergon Energy and the Orchestra's Foundation Sponsor, Hyne Group.

Yesterday Ann Hopwell had the great privilege of hosting Nenad Bach PingPongParkinson™ in our studio. Nenad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2010 robbing him of his ability to play his guitar, until he discovered the benefits of playing table tennis and soon learnt that he was feeling a lot better! 15 years on he now has 26 countries with PING PONG PARKINSON CLUBS, Hervey Bay being the first club in Australia under the guidance of Helen Halford. Nenad has flown from his home in New York and together with Helen they are touring Australia, making Frasercoastfm 107.5 their first port of call.
