Barcaldine in the Spotlight Tonight

🐋 Think the best whale-watching views are at the front of the boat? Think again!

While everyone else was watching the water ahead, a curious humpback surfaced behind my seat at the back, close enough to make my 100–400mm lens almost useless!

🐋 Humpback Magic in Hervey Bay

One of those heart-stopping moments that reminds you why Hervey Bay is regarded as one of the world's best whale watching destinations.

Captured yesterday aboard Whalesong Cruises during the CWIP Publishing Writers' Retreat, this magnificent humpback whale put on a memorable display for everyone on board.
